I use this lapdesk all the time with my Asus Netbook; it's comfortable, light, versatile, and helps keep my lap cool. I've tried adjustable wooden lapdesks in the past, but found those too heavy, cumbersome, and uncomfortable. I've also tried lapdesks that come with a pillow-like base filled with styrofoam beads, but those were too flimsy and the styrofoam quickly compacts until there's almost no cushioning left. They also made my lap get hot. For an amazingly low price, the Belkin Cushtop Notebook Stand is the best by far. I like it so much, I'm buying another one for my husband.Customer Review: Love my belkin notebook stand!

I purchased one for my daughter for Christmas last year and found myself using it for my laptop, so I had to get my own! It is perfect to use on your lap while on a bed, couch or living room chair. I have a cooler with a fan but that can only be used on a hard surface. I use my cush top all of the time. Not only does it keep the computer cool but it also adds just the right height. I have used several things as a buffer between myself and my laptop - coffee table books, notepads, and even actual products designed for a laptop but this is my favorite. My laptop (Toshiba) vents to the side, so this laptop pad may not work as well for Dells or other makes that vent underneath but for me this one is perfect. It's the perfect shape, perfect size for my 15.4" laptop, and I love how lightweight yet sturdy it is. Other laptop pads I have used were thinner and perfectly flat - this one has just the right angle and height to be used on your lap.Customer Review: Ten-hour Comfort, Day after Day!

I purchased the Belkin Notebook Stand just over a year ago, and I have used it daily since. I work with a laptop in my lap, and I often relax with a laptop in my lap.
This Notebook Stand doesn't do much; it has no moving parts, but it does what I need. It sets the laptop at the perfect height and slant for keyboarding, protects your legs from the heat of the computer, and allows your laptop fans to cool the machine without obstruction.
After a year of daily use, the Belkin Notebook Stand continues to live comfortably under my laptop.

First let me say that I love the product. I bought two as gifts and one for myself. Great product! But I bought it and paid to have it sent 3 day shipping so it would be here in plenty of time for Christmas. It didn't ship out for a week and then took 5 days to get here. I contacted the company by e-mail to cancel my order two days before it shipped, since I hadn't hear about it shipping yet. I got no reply. After I got e-mail conformation that it had shipped I tried to contact them again....I have still not recieved a reply.....
