Customer Review: Do not order this product if you have a 17inch lap.

The Good
If you have a 15.4 inch laptop, expect a great product that is stable and not wobbly. I tested it.
The Bad
If you have a 17inch laptop, expect a product that does not support your laptop effectively. "Flip it over and presto you have a surface for a 17inch laptop" Hardly, the base is now smaller then the top. When moving it off your lap, you have to be extra careful the laptop does not tip over, because it will. ( I tested this on a soft surface, completely top heavy on the screen side and fell right over) This is an accident waiting to happen with a 17inch laptop. The manufacture should be ashamed to advise this for use with a 17inch laptop. Because this was obviously designed for a 15inch laptop.

Just received the Belin CushTop Notebook Stand today. I like the chocolate/blue color, and the stand is comfortable. I can type on the MacBook without much trouble-which is what I'm doing right now. And it does keep my laptop cooler. My two complaints are that the stand has a weird, almost moldy smell. I'm hoping it's just from packaging and will dissapate soon. My other complaint, or gripe is that my MacBook slides right off this stand. I do not suggest carrying your laptop on the stand or tilting forward, else your laptop could end up somewhere else. I think some velcro or other material would help with the sliding. I will also try rotating the stand around to see if the wider part works better. My Mom had this when she came for a visit, last month, and I was online (using the Cush Top) ordering one within 30 minutes of her arrival. I love it! It raises the laptop up a bit from your lap or whatever surface you choose to use it on. It keeps the machine cool and the thing2 sides where you can stick a few papers, pens or pencils while you are using it. I know I tend to misplace papers and documents when I am on my laptop and I just put them in there and I can revert to them quickly without having to dig around. It is soft and comfortable (when using it on your lap). Anyone who gets a kink in their neck or likes to sit in comfortable places while on their laptop needs to purchase one of these. My home computer is a laptop, and I use it frequently at night while sitting on the couch. I had been getting a lot of neck and back pain from being hunched over the laptop, and I was hoping that moving it up a little higher and stabilizing it would help. This product fits perfectly on my lap and puts my computer at the perfect level and angle to prevent sore muscles and eye strain. Keeping the heat off my legs is great, too. Plus, it's stylish and the brown/blue matches the color scheme in my living room so I don't have a problem leaving it out when I'm not using it. When I got my laptop it was suggested to me that I get a cooling pad. I'd also realized that I needed something that would help elevate my laptop. The solution was this pad!
It's sturdy, lightweight, I can rest on it if using it on a table.
I like that you can flip it in different ways to help accommodate whatever position you need at that time. If I want it to tilt higher in the front because I'm using it while sitting on the bed, I flip it backwards. It doesn't tire out my legs if I decide to rest it on there. I like the little compartment in the center for my AC adapter or for my external hard drive and help keep it out of the way.
Highly recommended!
