Connects my HDTV to my home theater. I don't notice a difference from this cable and regular RCA cables. I am generally happy with the cable and it was a great price for a Belkin.
The only complaint I have is that on one occasion I lost connection and had to turn everything off, unplug both ends, and reconnect. I think optical cables are generally a little more sensitive that other cables.

Purchased the following items together to hook up my 80Gig PS3, with the existing Onkyo 7.1 - HD setup! I purchased them on 9/10, so its been a month now and they work amazing! Both the cables feel solid - good build quality!

I purchased this cable to connect our new TV to our Yamaha amplifier, as the amp does not have HDMI I/Os. It works great! We have used the amp with our Xbox 360, which we also use as a DVD player. We run HDMI to the TV and this Digital Optical cable out to the amp, and the audio quality is actually better than with the old component cable setup we used with our old DVD player.Customer Review: perfect for home theater

This is a high quality cable no need to spend more. Under $7 beat other web stores and the big boys. I only use Belkin cables because they have never failed me. I like these better than Monster which I have used setting up systems for others and could never justify spending 3-6x the price of Belkins to have no quality improvement. The Monster name isn't worth my money.Customer Review: no snap in the connection

I give this product only 4 stars because when connecting the cable into my cable box and my audio recever the connection is some what lose, it did not snap into place as did another cable I have from a different company. The cable does the job but I have to make sure that the cable does not come out when moveing the equipment around. For the price it works!
