Customer Review: Good Idea, Great Implementation

I've got this unit currently attached to my 52" LCD, PS3, TiVo, SDV Adapter, a pair of controller chargers, and then soon a Mac Mini. While it's a GREAT idea, the implementation was pretty good too, especially for the price. The best part is that you can have one remote control multiple units, or multiple remotes control one unit. This is done through the setting of dip switches. The switch itself could be a bit better, and takes a strange little battery which leaves a bit to be desired, but all in all this wouldn't stop me getting another.Customer Review: Great for power conservation - and lazy people :)

This is the second RC surge strip I bought (I also have the 8 socket one at my computer corner).
I connected all my game consoles, DVD player and TV to the regular sockets, cable modem and router to the "always on" sockets - but found out I need another "always on" one for my NAS (when several backup jobs failed), so I used another smaller strip, and multiplied the "always on" sockets to 4.
Stuck the remote over the La-z-boy - and there you go, lazy people's paradise :)

I needed a surge protector for my office to consolidate several older, smaller ones but also had a need for always-on outlets for digital phone and wireless gateway. Belkin has it all here, along with a coveted remote switch, so I no longer have to crawl behind the desk to click off the power at the end of the day. Its surge protection was recently tested with a local power issue and it passed with flying colors. I recommend this product and look forward to the next iterations of it.Customer Review: Works as desired

Easy to set up. As long as I remember to hit the "off" button on my way out of the room this works as advertised. All electronic glowing LED lights turn off. I only have one so far, so I doubt I'll see noticeable energy savings with it -- especially with all of the other energy drains in the house.
I really like the always on plugs -- I have my wifi router and my DVR plugged into those two. I've ordered another one to hook up all of my computer equipement to next.

the product looks nice, comes packaged well. we tested it, it worked, just as it says. we ordered multiples, however, and if you click one remote, it changes all of the strips. so we need to figure out how to change the electronics of it so it doesn't do that. additionally, the remote feels cheaply made, with plastic internal components, so it doesn't feel as if it will "last forever." but, for the most part, i am a believer in belkin and this has worked well thus far.
