Customer Review: Not too bad at all
Summary: 4 Stars

I am relitively new to gaming, bout 3+ yrs, World of warcraft, this has completely changed my gaming experience, I mistakenly bought this in BESTBUY for about 70 dollars, and should have gotten it here, but i felt that i could just take it back to the store and get my money back faster. The only complaint i have, is that I am unable to figure out how to move around with the controller pad, i can go forward and do some straffing, thats about it, need more time to try and reconfigure a few dual key functions to try and compensate for its total lack of smooth movement. I have been doing arenas lately and as a disc priest, its awsome, i dont even use the 3rd tier of buttons, i have programed this to just glance off the second tier when you hit the space bar, but my mouse can handle the healbot and decursive to remove and support my partner, while this thing handles dispells, and dot's, no more looking down at key, or worse, clicking hot keys, which is a gamer-no-no. I found, programing this thing to be a breeze, it functions very well, its cool to look at, and im 6'1" and my hand fits this thing perfectly without any adjustments, I seen the negative reviews, order this thing for a lousy [...] bucks, dont like it, send it back, but dont let a bad review stop you from going to the next expert lvl in your gaming experience.

Customer Review: For the N52 critics
Summary: 5 Stars

I never owned the N52 original so this is the first key pad I have ever purchased. WOW after reading the reviews of the N52 owners I wouldn't have ever even came close to purchaseing the N52te edition. Ahhhh...but I do know someone that owned one and he assured me that if I was a noob to this type of device I could enter it without any bias. So, with that said I found this device a little on the pricey side, but after using it for 48 hours I fealt well adjusted to it. I had none of the problem the N52 users complained about, I actually found it very easy to use and control. The size seem to match my hand almost perfectly, I have average size hands so the reach was good and confortable. I do agree that the interface that maps the keys is ridiculously small, but I was able to get it set up for Call of Duty 4 within 15-20 minutes. I like the back lite keys, although I agree they could be a bit dimmer, but I didnt find that to be distracting. So if you are new to these types of game improving key pads, this is a great addition that will make you a better player, but if your one of the people that doesnt like change and is confortable with the N52, well look at the reveiws and you can see what they have already decided. But I bet if they gave it a chance and got used to it they will be telling

Customer Review: Not impressed with the quality. A downgrade from the original...
Summary: 2 Stars

I thought I would give the Belkin n52te a chance and 'upgrade' from the original n52 Nostromo I've been using happily for over 4 years. Well, I wouldn't call this an 'upgrade'. To tell you the truth, I fell like I downgraded my gamepad with this new product.

First, the product I received didn't function properly. When pressing the thumb key (mapped to the Space bar by default), nothing would happen. I tried the device with and without the Belkin drivers to make sure the problem was not software related. In fact there appears to be a mechanical issue with the key pad, which could originate from bad design or poor manufacturing quality.

Second thing I noticed is that the new n52te is much lighter than the original. And if you have large hands, it doesn't lay flat when in use. The keypad would lift up and tilt with just a slight push on the palm rest. This makes it very difficult or impossible to use when gaming since it bounces back and forth.

If you're looking for a good gaming keypad, don't fall for the pretty lights and the sexy look of the n52te. It's all superficial, only skin deep, the quality is lacking. I would recommend the original n52 without hesitation. Belkin seriously dropped the ball with the n52te. I wish I had not purchased this item.

Customer Review: Was Blind...but now i SEE!
Summary: 5 Stars

Ok, first off...i wrote a review on the Logitech G13 ( which i returned)gamepad and was inclined to give props to this item that was recieving so much flack...that it actually made me want to try something other than this SpeedPad! And by the looks of what i had experienced...this thing is really a heck of a lot better than the G13...Honestly! (ok, in my opinion)

The ergonomics that seem to be the rage on the G13 is crazy!!! If u got a knub for a thumb GREAT!! but mines (thumb) has some bend to it so the location is really weird where they placed the Thumbstick! ( and dang that thing is sensitive (Diaganols on a FPS shooter...murder, dont have it enabled on my Belkin. The contour of the speedpad feels alot more comfortable too.

The Belkin N52 TE speedpad overall just seams like u have alot of control over the entire feel of what makes a Gamepad feel quick (less buttons) and manageable. For FPS genre...sweet ( Even Company of Heroes and World in Conflict have a nice place for this controller).

I just felt it neccesary to write this review after i had tried to go to a place where the grass seemed to be greener...boy was i shown the Light after taking my N52TE for granted ") Gotta try it to appreciate...no lie!

wow this thing is awesome. it basically mimics keyboard keys, then you flash macro's into it to mimic certain keystrokes. the build is nice and you can turn the blue leds for the lit keys off from a switch on the bottom. I can use this for hours without feeling any fatigue. It does however feel a little peculiar using it at first and has a learning curve. Once you get past that you can use this for anything. I myself like using it for music production as it can easily shortcut things for me(Ableton live) making workflow more streamlined. the editor is alright and fairly straightforward. As far as hardware it could probably use some sort of weight or mounting to keep it from tipping back when your getting heavy handed. The worst part is that I havn't got the flash editor to work with Windows 7 64bit. works fine with Vista 32bit and had to program it there. Once it's programmed, everything is saved into the rom of the n52te and you can plug it back in to whatever and it'll maintain it's programming. Once it's programmed it works fine with Windows 7 64bit, just not the editor to change it up. comes with a removable joystick for the thumbstick and the palm rest adjusts. It would've gotten 5 stars if it worked flawlessly with windows 7 64 bit.
