This Belkin 7 port hub set up OK and worked fine; then 2 days ago, after 6 mos of light use (I use my laptop at three locations, including the home office where this was), it did not work!
The printers and mouse attached to it stopped functioning; I tried the printers and mouse by plugging them into the laptop directly and they worked fine; now using another travel hub, not meant for desk use (Targus) and it's fine.
Belkin products stinK! I would not buy again.

The Belkin USB 2.0 Plus Hub (7 Port) F5U307-WHT is the answer to the proliferating number of usb devices on my desk. I love my new Imac both for both its form and its function. But I dont love having all the usb ports on the back, and not enough of them at that. Now I can have my external hard drive, card reader, usb headset, keyboard, printer, and Ipod all connected at the same time. Yes!Customer Review: Failty Connection

This is a great hub but it took some time to get working initially. The USB connection on the hub that you plug the mini-usb plug in had a loose connection. I was so frustrated initially because nothing worked! After I hit it a few times and messed with the USB plug it started working. I believe the mini-USB jack is bent and I will probably return this item and get a new one. It is a nice compact design and would work great if it could stand to be bumped without loosing connectionCustomer Review: Just what I needed but whats up with the colors?

I purchased the Belkin USB hub after reading other positive reviews. The hub has worked flawlessly and sits on my desk without moving around due to the device's weight. The only thing I'm not fond of is Belkin's choice of colors for this product. I wish they would have just made a black one. The baby blue color on the device looks horrible but I still rated it a 5 since I knew what I was ordering before it arrived. Belkin has yet to let me down on the way their products operate.Customer Review: Great Port with a couple of minor problems

This is an outstanding port. It's fast and can, theoretically handle 7 USB devices --- that's theoretically. In truth, the port hub can handle 5-6 devices because the connection plugs are too close together. Here's the other problem: heat. The unit is very warm when operating. This is only a problem if you put it on top of something else, like I did, initially; I put it on my external drive.
