Once again short and to the point, I have owned this item for at least 3 months and I love this surge protector! with 12 outlets its hard to run out of places to plug things in and the1-in, 2-out RJ11 telephone/fax surge protection, and coaxial protection are a nice bonus. It also has places on the back for wall mounting and the $300,000 connected warranty is very nice to. This Belkin surge protector has survived 6 power failures, 3 power surges and 1 close lightning strike with a laptop, Tv, phone, all in one printer, DVD player, Direct TV box, alarm clock, Mp3 player,and a lava lamp, and it still works like day 1!!! I think the only way that this is possible is because this model of Belkin surge protector has a max amp resistance of 250,000 or it could just be "dumb luck". At the stores it is close to; if not double or more the price that it is here on Amazon. At Office Max it was $over 52. I just finished building my own PC which has a 1200 Watt Power Supply. I looked at some Back-UPS but they are like super expensive, so I decided to look for a surge protector that could handle that Wattage instead. I found this Belkin Surge Protector and I have to say it is a very awesome product. Quality wise, I would rate it 4 stars due to the fact that its button switch feels kind of flimsy, which makes me wonder it if will eventually dislodge or something; but other than that this product offers GREAT space saving attributes. The pivot plugs are awesome since you can connect items that have bulky Adapters to it next to each other, and the only thing you need to do is rotate the plug...voila! No problem whatsoever connecting them. This Surge Protector has a VERY high Wattage capability (~1850W) so it protects my PC PLUS other equipment easily. I bought this surge protector primarily based on reviews here on Amazon.I liked the design that allowed for me to plug in at least 12 3-prong cords at once. However, the main reason was the supposed ability of this surge protector to prevent electrical surges.One sign I should have known the workmanship was not up to snuff was the very flimsy on/off button - it doesn't feel substantial at all and sometimes it takes more than one push to turn the unit on. THis wasn't a problem until one morning I turned on the unit and after turning on briefly, it suddenly turned off, never to turn on again. I checked all the connections and buttons over and over, but it wouldn't start. I've only had this a little over a year - hmm, just when the warranty expires, what a coincidence!
This is not the first time a Belkin product has done this, so its my fault for trusting them. But never again will I buy a Belkin product.

I purchased the Belkin 12 outlet surge protector because I was in powercord jail and needed an outlet/surge protector for a lot of cords. The Belkin's advertisement that the outlets on the outside of the device are specifically for the larger adapters. All of the adpaters are larger than what Belkin provides and so I still can't plug the adpaters in side-by-side, I have to leave an outlet blank in between them. The device would be much better if it were longer and thus allowing more space inbetween the adapter plug ins. The other this about this device is that the outlets down the middle have a plastic thing blocking them so when you first go to plug in something it won't go in smoothly, you have to REALLY, REALLY push hard so that it breaks the plastic in the plug (Kind of hard to explain). I'm not sure why it was set up this way, but it is a pain!Customer Review: Best power station yet!

Remember when an extension cord with two or three outlets used to do the trick? Well, from there, I moved to a five outlet strip, which worked well except that some power adaptors needed to block one outlet while being plugged into another. Then I found a round power center which took five plugs of any kind without any trouble. Then came the power squid, with five cords of various length so that each one was like a separate extension cord. But Belkin has really outdone themselves with this TWELVE outlet power center with four fixed outlets in the center and four outlers on each side that swivel. And, of course, like most decent power centers, it has a built-in surge protector. For its versatility, its small footprint and the sheer number of outlets, this product is definitely the most convenient one on the market at this time.
