This is a very sturdy (read hefty and beefy) unit and very well constructed. The picture does not really show just how large it is but the size is secondary to it's functionality.
Not for travel charging for sure, but if you have a couple of unit that need charging current from a stationary source, this is for you.

Bought this specifically for charging my kids' SanDisk 4GB Sansa Clip mp3 players. It charges two of them at the same time. It does appear, however, that the Sansa Clip charges faster if it is turned on while it is connected to this power supply. What a smart device for a laptop! First off, this surge protector fits easily in my laptop case... but what really sold me on this are the two powered USB ports. I have a laptop cooling fan plate (USB) and a laptop LED light (USB). Great device for traveling when you need more AC ports or powered USB ports for device charging. Another advantage is that it is a surge protector. The plug rotates so that you can orient this device to be vertical or horizontal. I've had my mini Belkin for three months now, ever since a friend brought one to my house and I didn't want to let him take it home! It is so convenient to take with me everywhere or just leave at home. I plug my iPhone into it or my ipod and never need to bring the charger with me. It's also a great size.
