Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Belkin Mini Surge 3 Outlet Wall Mount with USB ChargerCustomer Review: Not so good Summary: 2 Stars
It's a bit heavy, which makes it fall out of the wall socket easily once a couple cords are plugged in. That's not the real issue, though. It provides two USB ports, but it can't seem to power two devices at once. If you connect two iPhones, they both constantly act as though they are being plugged-in and un-plugged every couple seconds until one is removed from the charger.
Customer Review: Works as advertised, with minor caveats Summary: 3 Stars
Tested and could charge 2 Tmobile Dash phones at the same time. I also tested charging a Tmobile Dash phone and bluetooth headset at the same time.
Only supports 125V as input -- took it for granted that this was a universal adapter (handling 100V to 240V).
The gadget is rather bulky for my taste, but maybe I should have checked the specs.
Customer Review: Great, but doesn't charge the iPad Summary: 4 Stars
This is exactly what I needed for my travel kit -- well, exactly EXCEPT for the fact that it doesn't charge an iPad. Note that I don't blame Belkin for this -- the iPad is now famously stubborn about what it'll let charge it, and given the list of things that *won't* charge it include my iMac G5, it's hard to hold Belkin responsible for Apple's design decisions.
Customer Review: Gets the job done and saves some outlets! Summary: 5 Stars
I love having the two USB ports to charge my iPhone and iPod. It keeps me from having to use Apple USB adapters and taking up two pronged outlets that I need for other things. It's not quite as "mini" as you might think, but it's still small and you could surely travel with it if you wanted to (although you very well could still need a travel adapter.)
Customer Review: Great gift for my favorite road warrior! Summary: 5 Stars
I got this as a stocking stuffer for my boyfriend, who travels frequently for work. He has a lot of gadgets, and usually the hotels dont have enough plugs (or the client's sites, the airport, etc. He especially liked the USB slots, since some things require an additional plug for those (like his iPhone or camera). He really enjoyed this gift!
