I have had this for a few months now. I bought it from Target for 30 dollars, I think. I'm still using it, and it's my first USB hub. I hate this thing. It won't power my portable HD at all. It's very flimsy. It won't let me use any 2 ports that are pointing toward each other. After the first week or two of use, I kept getting the message, "Your USB device could perform faster..." I now wish I would of gotten another product. I also don't like my Belkin laptop cooling mat. I am never buying another product from Belkin ever again.Customer Review: "Okay"

I like this hub very much. It lets me plug in my stuff and clear my computer area of wires and such. I use it for the stuff that will stay plugged in, like the webcam and speakers, leaving the ports on the front of my computer available for things like my iPod and such. The only improvement I would make would be some way to adhere it to the side of my computer so that it would be removable when necessary.Customer Review: Complete Junk! Don't Buy!

If I could rate it zero stars, I would. This thing is a piece of junk. I bought it at an electronics store near me for $15 and well, you get what you pay for. I can't believe Amazon is trying to sell it for almost $30! I wouldn't pay that for this thing if my life depended on it.
Whenever I plug in a USB device to it, it freezes my mouse and my keyboard. Half the time the device I plug in will not be recognized by the computer (Mac), meaning it won't be detected at all. The other half the time, the device I plug in will be "ejected" out of the blue. I guess it's great if you want something for target practice or to chuck across the room when you're POed, but other than that it's completely useless. And just today when I plugged in my iPhone, my mouse froze up and my entire screen turned a lovely shade of pink. I had to force-restart.
Do yourself a favor and buy something a little more expensive and more reliable. Im planning on going back to the store and spending the $50 on the high quality USB Hub I was going to purchase originally.
