I was in need of something to not only elevate my laptop but also to help distribute the heat produced underneath it (I own a Dell Inspiron B130), I came across this stand. It gets the laptop off of my lap and also helps the computer to more properly cool itself. I don't put my mouse in the little slot in the middle, but I suppose you could. My mouse (a logitech) does not fit. The outer fabric is washable and seems very durable. The dual use sides are also a nice benefit.Customer Review: just what i had been looking for...

i love this product. since i never sit at a desk and use my laptop, previously i had been using it on a pillow (which they tell you not to do, but it was convenient). i ordered this to replace my laptop pillow. i have a 12in powerbook and i actually use the bigger side and there's enough room to use my mouse comfortably. it wasn't as cushy as i thought it was going to be, but it keeps my lap cool and remains cool on the top surface even though the laptop gets so hot.Customer Review: Great product, but not for laptops bigger than 15"

This is a great product. When my wife uses it, her laptop tends to get a little hot, but I have had no problems with my laptop. We have not tried the power supply storage area, so we don't know how well that works, but in general, we love this product. The only thing to watch out for is having a laptop bigger than 15", because the laptop will take up the whole Notebook stand, leaving no room for a mouse. All in all, a great product and definitely worth the price.Customer Review: Too Large

As another reviewer mentioned, it is very bulky. However, it does the job by keeping my legs cool as I use my laptop and provides ample elevation to make it easier to type. The only complaint I had was that because it is so bulky, it makes it uncomfortable to type the more inclined you are. Also, what's interesting is I found the hole between the top and bottom layer very useful to store various documents while I type. Ex: reference sheets, homework, etc.Customer Review: Everyone with a laptop should own this

If you use a laptop at home, you should get one of these, period. It's great for sitting on the couch or in bed, and even at a counter depending on the height. I love mine, and have recommended them to people who have loved them, and given them as gifts.
I use mine with a MacBook, and while it is a little slippery for these, but it still works just fine. If you have a more traditional, non-slippery laptop, it would be even better I suppose.
