I went to a local outlet of a national chain we all know to buy a 6 foot digital optical audio cable. Their price was $27.99. Checked Amazon.com, where found this one for just over $6.00. Guess which one I bought? Quality is excellent, and I'm now thoroughly enjoying 5.1 surround sound with my satellite TV broadcasts.Customer Review: Good, but cheap

Cables work just fine, and the connection 'click' they make is pretty weak, but if it's connected it's fine. Just don't move anything around.
These came in a box simply wrapped in an bag. The packaging felt very cheap, but I have no problem with the cable other than the clicking thing.

I bought two of these cables and an electronic splitter to allow me to run my cable box and PS3 both to my Bravia surround (which only had one TOSlink port). I had previously bought a TOSlink cable at Walmart to hook the PS3 up to the surround, but didn't feel like overpaying for two more cables. Based on the price here I was expecting these cables to look cheapo, but when they arrived I was impressed! The packaging is very nice retail packaging, and the cables themselves look great. The biggest complaint I've read here is that they don't plug in tightly, in my case the cables are quite secure (I've got one plugged from the cable box to the splitter and the other from the splitter to the Bravia surround and the connections at each piece of equipment are snug). They're not as tight a fit as the Walmart cable I have, but then again I really have to pull hard to get that one unplugged. These Belkin cables seem about right as far as installing & removing. I'm only running audio through these and can detect no loss of sound quality over the more expensive cable I have even with the addition of the splitter. Overall these cables are a great value! Please note that if you buy multiple cables that you pay the shipping charge on each one. As long as you know that going into the purchase it's still a great deal over what you'd pay at a local store. Customer Review: Good cable

I needed to connect my new Yamaha receiver to the cable box and to the HD DVD player. Cables arrived on time and had been working flawlessly for more than 3 months now. These are excellent cables for a reasonable price (definitely much better price than in my local electronics super store).
