This thing is trash. It's dead after about 5 months. Reset switch doesn't do the trick either. The switch is flimsy too. It supposedly has a lifetime warranty but the model number doesn't exist on the Belkin web site when you try to get a warranty replacement and you must pay the shipping back to them. I'll just buy a better product with the money it would cost me to ship this back. DON'T BOTHER BUYING THIS SURGE PROTECTOR!!! its a Belkin product so you know its quality.
But it was just more basic than I had expected. I think it works best in bedrooms.
As for an office get something with more features. I have a belkin surgemsater that I was going to replace with this one but its just designed so much better for office use and hooking up multiple electronics.
While there is nothing wrong with this product you definitely get what you pay for.

The Belkin 6 Outlet Home/Office Surge Protector is a practical power strip that offers basic protection, 6 outlets, and is slim. There's a standard warranty on the surge protector in the case it fails to do its job.
The only complaint I have about the power bar is that the power cable is short. I didn't realize how short 2.5 feet were until I tried to move the bar under my desk and couldn't get it that far under, away from the wall outlet.

However it got stolen from my front door before I could collect it. I called up Amazon and they reissued a new one for me with free one-day shipping. I didn't find anything wrong with this surge protector so far. It looks neat and I haven't had any bad experiences so far. The thing about these kind of products is, you never know until something bad happens. But now, everything seems to be alright.
Oh, by the way, never expect to use it like an extension cord. The wire is way too short for that. But again, it's worth the money.
