Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Belkin 4-Port Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Mobile Hub (F5U404-BLK)Customer Review: This is the one. Buy It Summary: 5 Stars
I use ProTools LE 8 with a Digi 03 on an iMac. If you use ProTools, you know that the software DOES NOT like to have it's resources slowed down. I have 3 USB devices plugged into the Belkin 4 Port Hub and ProTools doesn't even flinch. One is an external drive, one is a Midi keyboard and the third is the PlugIn Ilok device for ProTools. This is a well designed, extremely capable way of adding 4 ports to your setup after you've hogged up all of your factory ports. I've used a few of these. This one handles the load. But it.
Customer Review: 50-50 Summary: 3 Stars
I Ordered 2 of these items and 1 worked and one did not. This would appear to be just my luck but, i also ordered 2 Belkin Fans (See that Review) and that also was 50-50 one worked fine the other was very noisy miss-assembled. I am beginning to question the product QA of Belkin when i never did. Might it be because everything is made by slave labour in China?
I have purchased another Belkin Hub the Thumb Hub lets see how this works, otherwise the next will be a D-Link.

Customer Review: Almost perfect, but one quirk Summary: 4 Stars
This hub is probably one of the better ones for the price you pay. It's really nice to have the extra USB ports and it's relatively small so it doesn't take up much space.
However, it does have a couple of unwieldy cords that can contribute to an already tangled mess. Also, maybe it's just one of the ports, but it doesn't always work at 2.0 speed. I've even been given computer messages telling me that it's only working at 1.0 speeds. But the thing still works great.
Customer Review: Don't lose it! Summary: 5 Stars
Wow! This thing is small! The only problem you might have with it's tiny size is that you'll either lose it or it won't stay put. With 4 USB cables coming out of the front, it won't sit flat on the ground and is easily tossed around. I didn't really care... that just meant I could plug all my cables into and hang it over the side of my desk! It's been working perfectly for over 2 months now (OS X 10.5). I'm tempted to buy another one for my PS3 since it only has two USB ports on it.
