I purchased this product to connect my Canon Elura 100 mini DV camcorder to Sony laptop. The item arrived as described and the connection was a snap. It is a purely plug & play connection with the Sony laptop instantly recognizing the camcorder.
Go for it - not many better alternatives available.

This cable is not durable. We ordered three of them for the college where I work. The first one worked great the first two weeks, but now the cable won't stay tight, the connection is intermittent at best. The second won't carry a signal at all. I'm going to make use of the lifetime warranty.

Works just fine. I was worried that the three foot cable wouldn't be long enough, but I use it to transfer video from my camcorder to my laptop, and I've yet to be bothered by the cable. The transfer software that came with my Dell works great, and the cable itself performs wonderfully. No complaints.Customer Review: Its a steal for the price

Its 10-100X faster than USB cable. Its a very good cable
for the price. In most stores, the price of a similar product is over $30. I got it for less than $10.

The Belkin F3N402-03-ICE 4-Pin to 4-Pin FireWire Cable is a good quality Firewire that I have used several times. This one was three feet long. I plan to buy another one six feet long. This cable is of good quality and works well for me. I certainly recommend this cable.
