My old Belkin must have taken some surges and was no longer protecting my electronics so I purchased the 12-outlet as a replacement for my office. My computer, monitor, printer, phone charger, speakers, router, cable modem and cordless phone are all plugged into it.
The spacing of the outlets is pretty efficient to allow for large brick adapters as well as the normal plugs. This model also has phone, Ethernet and coax protection. The cord management clip is only marginally useful but nice to have anyways. My only complaint is that the 10-foot cord is just too long for my use and wish they'd come up with a retractable cord or maybe removable cords in different sizes. The surge protector sits right under my desk so I only need about a foot of cord length. The extra 9 feet add to the jungle of cables and the right angle plug does not rotate.
As I mentioned my old Belkin surge protector died. I didn't really think about the warranty on it until after I purchased the replacement but I called them up and got great service. They offered me a comparably priced replacement so I ended up trying out the Belkin Conserve Energy Saving Surge Strip. They sent me the replacement first and I mailed the old surge protector back at a cost of about $7.
This 12-outlet Belkin surge protector is a great value. You get good protection for 12 devices in a slim form factor at Amazon's fantastic price.

I consider this Belkin surge protector to be one of the best "all-in-ones" that are made. Not only do you get plenty of outlets, but you also get an extended cord, phone/ethernet/coax protection, well-spaced outlets, right-angle plug, and a small profile. For the price, you will not get a better surge protector.
When opening the package, the first thing I noticed was the small profile of this product. To have so many features and outlets you would think this item would have to be huge. Granted, the length and width are large, but it is thin and sits on the floor or other surface very well. I commend them on their design of this product.
You will find 12 outlets on this device and half of them will have space for large plugs and adapters. You will also find protection for coax, ethernet, and phone. The right-angle plug is awesome and allows you to plug this surge protector in behind large furniture without having it stick out. That should be a standard on all surge protectors! You will also have plenty of slack with the cord that will allow you to put this device almost anywhere.
I realize most of the features I listed are available on other surge protectors, but most do not include all of them on one device. Belkin did and they executed it very well at a very good price. This item is highly recommended.
Customer Review: Messes up some outdoor TV antenna reception on our Samsung HDTV

Purchased this product online to provide surge protection for a new Sansung LN32A550 1080P HDTV. When I hooked up the coaxial cable coming from our outdoor antenna, the unit grossly distorted the image coming from the local NBC HD-DTV channel. It also interfered with the local Fox station's DTV signal.
I'd like to find a good surge protector that doesn't have this
"anti-interference feature," since I don't think our house current needs it and I believe that this feature is the cause of the interference with our local NBC HD-DTV and Fox DTV signals. Because this particular surge protector is apparently not a good fit for our new Samsung HDTV, I'm returning it to Amazon.com for a refund.
Note: Without the antenna cable hooked up, the surge protector doesn't seem to cause any over the air antenna signal interference problems. However, with the outdoor antennae cable connected through the surge protector (which is required for the warranty protection), the signal's really awful from the local NBC HD-DTV station and not much better from the local Fox station affiliate. Otherwise, without the antennae cable hooked up to this surge protector, we get a strong DTV signal from CBS, Fox (CW) and NBC (ABC here doesn't yet have a strong DTV signal, but indicate they will have one by Feb 19, 2009).

The layout of the outlets on this surge protector makes it incredibly convenient to use, given that so many plugs for electronic equipment have odd shapes that in some cases take up a lot of space.
I own two of these, I live in a rural area where the power often goes out during electrical storms or when there are high winds (or when "critters get in the line," as an agent of the local power company once told me), and I've had no problems with any equipment attached to these surge protectors (I bought the 2nd one recently and have owned the 1st one I bought for about a year; for the record, I only use them for AC power, not for coaxial cable or ethernet connections). (I once lost a VCR during a power surge; it was connected to a cheap "Woods Industries True Protection" surge protector that had probably seen its day and that I should've replaced long before the VCR took a hit.)
The 10' long cord is a real plus for this unit. For me the extra long cord means that I don't have to put the units where they are hard to reach, and because they are easily accessible, I can plug and unplug equipment as necessary without any hassle at all. The on/off switch - something many but not all surge protectors have - is also a nice feature. And it is a nice looking unit.
