The remote never worked. It couldn't properly support my iPod touch- the sides wouldn't squeeze together enough to hold it, & there was no shelf on the bottom for support. My iPod would always slide right off and end up dangling upside-down by the charger, which was quite distracting while I was driving. I ended up having to use an AUX cable to plug my ipod into the transmitter, which meant it couldn't charge and had no stand, and instead sat on my passenger seat. I could have lived with all of that, but then the back of the unit fell off, shedding pieces inside of my cigarette lighter. I blew a fuse when I fished them out and had to purchase a replacement.
Next time, I'll purchase a quality item instead of a cheap piece of junk.
