Customer Review: Nice looking, but could be improved...

My AV receiver (Onkyo TX-SR876) needs a deep cabinet and there where very few I found that had the necessary depth. My main choices were this unit and a similar design by BDI (Avion 8527). I saw both at the local BB and felt the price difference was not justified- the BDI costs considerably more. I went with the Bell'o.
Pros-
* Attractive cabinet, nice finish
* Decent hardware
* Comes mostly assembled (just attach the legs and door pulls)
Cons-
* Poor ventilation- the Onkyo gets pretty hot in there
* No cable management
* Small windows make it challenging to position components to view display/get remote signal
The more expensive BDI may have an advantage here, since it has slotted shelves to aid air flow. Also, the BDI has sliding back panels (which I can now see would not only help with allowing more air in, but simplify wiring up the components). This Bell'o cabinet, as another reviewer mentioned, has no way to wire between compartments, other than sending the wire out the back of the compartment. This makes 2m cables barely adequate if you had to wire components that are in opposite compartments. I think Bell'o could provide an easy solution by adding pass-throughs between the partitions, however a DIY hole cutter on the power drill would do it.
Note about delivery: I never purchased anything this large online before. The first unit I purchased was from Amazon proper, and it came irreparably damaged, even though the box did not look too bad. I won't name the delivery company, since it might not have been their fault. Amazon was out of stock and could not ship a replacement for 4-6 weeks. I had them pick it up for a refund, which they did at no cost to me. The second (or replacement) unit I purchased from etronics through Amazon. Perfect condition! The sole delivery driver was outstanding and very helpful (AIT)
Tip: The BDI cabinet has rollers (only allows forward/back movement, might leave impressions on wood floors??), while the Bell'o does not. I found the 2" coaster-style plastic floor protectors with felt bottoms from HD fit the legs perfectly- like they were made for each other. I put one under each leg (need 6) before loading up the cabinet, now I can move it around to get at the back without worrying about marring my floors.
