I work in the computer lab in an elementary school. We only have enough computers for half a class, so if a full class comes in, for the kids to use the educational software, in the past we had to unplug the headphones so two kids could work on each machine, and the noise level in the room got ridiculous. With the splitters, we can now run 2 sets of headphones on each computer, and things are peaceful again.

Okay, call me strange but I got this headphone splitter for those summer evenings when my husband and I are sitting around in the back yard and want to hear some music (and maybe dance) without disturbing the neighbors. I plug it into my iPod, plug a set of headphones in each thingy and we're set to boogie! Oh and this is an awesome price for so much fun!! I purchased this splitter at the advice of Verizon in order to use my Blackberry as an MP3 Player. Verizon told me to buy the wrong thing. I decided not to return this item because I bought 2 of them , one for me , and one for my husband. It would have cost the same to return as it cost me to buy the right thing. Works great for the price, I'm running my headphones and speakers through this thing and it works like a charm. I'm a little bit of an audiophile and i don't hear any distortion through my headphones or speakers so I'm happy. I've only had this splitter for about a month so i can't comment on the longevity of this splitter, But for the time being it seems perfect for what i needed it for.Customer Review: Electronic Junk

Well, stung a second time on Belkin products--shame on me! I open the package, plug 'er in, and the left channel sorta works, sometimes, if you wiggle it around a little and don't move when you get both channels. Should have paid a little more.
Before this, a $80 power converter (12VDC to 120VAC) that crapped out after a month of extremely light usage. No more Belkin for me!
