For many years I carried a little calculator in my purse but it finally gave out. I was browsing and came across this calculator and ordered it for a trip overseas so I could convert currency on the fly. It's a great size and I've been very pleased with it. I use it for sewing projects (calculating fabric for curtains) and for work and other things. It's a lot handier than using a calculator on my computer and saves the paper I was using for doing math by hand! A neat feature is that it's solar-powered and that's a plus.Customer Review: compact size

Note that Aurora HC 110X is smaller than other basic calculators (e.g. Sharp EL-243S, Canon LS-82Z, Sharp EL-377T). Whether this is good or bad depends on you needs. If you want to put it in your pocket, this is perfect. If you crunch a lot of numbers and need a comfortable keypad to work with, this is not what you want.
A metric conversion table is printed on the insider of the cover, which comes in handy when you need them.

This is a great little calculator. I love the cover, which protects it from accidentally being turned on or smooshing buttons in my pocket or bag. It is very small, which is perfect for over-filled scrub pockets. It has all the features you need for basic medicine and medical calculations- perfect for the NICU!
My only qualm is that the shipping price was more than the cost of the actual product!

Ordered 40 of these solar calculators to be donated to an African school charity. Of the 4 I opened, none worked initially. After 24 hours charging under a lamp 2 of them worked. The other 2 never turned on. Didn't open any more, sent the whole lot back. Don't waste your money on these. Spend a buck or two more and buy a name you recognize.Customer Review: Useful little calculator

My job involves a lot of quick "back of the envelope" calculations. This calculator has been a perfect companion for that purpose. In fact, I have it in my pocket right now. The quality is excellent. I do miss the parentheses and multiple memory locations in scientific calculators, but the portability more than makes up for that.
