This shredder did not work well at all. When I tried it out for the first time, I only put in one sheet of paper and it seemed like it was having trouble shredding it. It did shred it eventually, but it was slow going and the machine sounded like it was straining itself. I also tried it with 3-4 sheets, thinking maybe that with just one piece the paper wasn't being gripped properly. It sounded like it was dying! I can't imagine this machine being able to shred something like a credit card or a cd like it advertises. It was cheap, but it's not a good buy. I returned it immediately. At least the customer service I received from Amazon was excellent!Customer Review: Looks Good - Breaks Fast

The AuroraAurora AS1018CD 10 Sheet Crosscut Paper/Credit Card/CD Shredder with Basket looks good but breaks easy. My unit lasted a little over a year and of course the warranty is only for a year. When I called support they told me they could send me a gear for $10 plus shipping or I could ship the unit back at my expense and they would fix or replace it for $35. Since I can probalby purchase a new shredder with less expense and less hassle I have elected not to repair it so today I donated it to my sanitation engineering staff.Customer Review: A great shredder

I love this shredder. Granted, what people are saying is true, that the basket is too small if you have a considerable amount of shredding to do, but I use a wastepaper basket that I bought and that works great. The shredder itself keeps pumping the paper through. The other day I must have shredded 500 old bills (with a 5-10 minute break every 50-75 pages) and not 1 paper jam or shut down. So far, I must have shredded 2000 pieces and it is still shredding like a champ. I haven't used the CD/DVD/Credit card shredder so I cannot critique that aspect. But seriously, if you need a cheap, durable shredder...this is the way to go.Customer Review: It works! Great value, it does the job.

Great product for the price. I'm glad I got it. I've had it for over 3 months now and it works beautifully. Of course, I'm a careful user and won't shred more than 3 pages at a time. The only thing, and the reason why I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars, is that the credit card shredder just leaves dent marks on the credit card. The blades couldn't really slice through them so I still have to cut up credit cards the old-fashioned way - with scissors. And that's no big deal as I don't have a need to shred credit cards much anyway. Other than that, the paper shredder works great. It's definitely a great deal for its quality.Customer Review: Stop!!! DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! DO NOT LISTEN TO THE GOOD REVIEWS THAT THEY GAVE THIS PRODUCT! THE FIRST DAY I GOT I SHREDDED LIKE 2O PIECES OF PAPER(NOT ALL AT ONCE). IT OVERHEATED AND STOPPED WORKIN!! I HAD TO WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT DAY THEN IT STARTED WORKING. IT SHREDS WAYYYY TOOO BIG. LIKE IF YOU DO A CREDIT CARD THE WHOLE CREDIT CARD NUMBER IN ONE STRIP AND YOUR WHOLE NAME ON ANOTHER!! HELLO???? WHATS THE POINT OF THAT!! BIG PIECE OF POOP, SPEND A LITTLE EXTRA AND GET A BETTER ONE. I DID NOT WANT TO RETURN IT BECAUSE THE SHIPPING WAS TOO MUCH. NOW I AM STUCK CUTTING CREDIT CARDS THE OLD FASHION WAY...WITH SCISSORS!!
