I was very impressed with this item considering the price was less than $30. I previously had a cross-cut shredder that I ruined by putting labels in it by accident and needed a quick replacement. This item, even though it is long strip shred and not cross-cut, the end result of the shredding is good because the stips are very thin and could not be put back together easily. I wouldn't recommend it if you really have something to hide but if you want easy, then I say go for it! One feature I didn't like is that the cover part that shreds doesn't fully cover the bin top. That's good because it makes the basket quick and easy to empty but bad because it adds more dust in my house.Customer Review: Good value, works fine

I've had this shredder for about a month and am quite pleased with its performance. Admittedly, I haven't overworked it, my county recycles almost everything so I don't bother shredding unless it contains sensitive information. The only negative I've found is the capacity of the basket that came with it, if you don't keep pushing the shred down or empty the basket it will soon interfere with the paper travel through the cutters. I was aware of this problem before I ordered, several reviews mentioned it; the simple solution is to use a larger basket and this machine is adjustable to make this possible. I've had only one jam and reversing the paper cleared it quickly.Customer Review: It's just ok

The day I got this shredder, it got jammed with 2 sheets of paper going through it. Getting it unjammed took forever and it immediately got jammed again in the center. While I could shred down either side of the jam, the shredder would not cut itself off because of the jam and easily got overheated. The shredding mechanism isn't as strong as another aurora shredder I have owned, but it did the job decently. It is a strip shredder, so if you need to shred something important, look elsewhere for cross-cut or true confetti shredding. Overall, if it's not jammed it does a great job. If you have a lot to shred or use it frequently (every day), look elsewhere.Customer Review: Good job, nice workhorse!

I'm an artist used needed a linear, not diamond, shredder to elegantly destroy massive art history books through as well as 25 years of photographic negatives and prints. At this price, I figured that, even if I burnt out the motor or destroyed the blades early on, I'd still get my money's worth, but it powered through some serious tasks it wasn't desired for. Had to let it rest 2 times after an hour + of shredding sections of a 1500 page book, but the motor started up the next day. Have recommended it to others. Wish the feed slot were a little large and that it had guides for small thin items (negatives were fed through the credit card center area).Customer Review: Great For the Price

I got this recently for my end of the year cleaning , and not only has already shred about 4 large trash backs worth of paper, but i have also try other thicker things trough that would have damage any other blades but with this one did just fine. can be a bit noisy when operating ,and while the basket is small the extension allowed to adapted to a very large basket. i am very happy with it and i would recommended to any one with copious amounts of shredding to do. i do love the fact that can shred both CDs and Credit cards since some of mine CDs have very confidential info and i cut my self several times in the past braking them by hand, a most have.
