Customer Review: Great sound, with a small inconvenience

The direct connection provides crystal clear sound from my XM tuner and couldn't be better.
One thing I didn't realize until after I got it installed was that when the XM radio is on, the direct connection switches off my car radio antenna. So if I want to switch from listening to XM to my regular radio, I can't hear some of my favorite over-the-air radio stations unless I turn my XM tuner off (which takes a few seconds).
If you switch between XM and the regular radio very often, you may want to think about it before going with this option.

This is a great addition to the system. I hard-wired it in, and concealed the wiring in the center console. I also sealed the antenna to the hood with clear silicone (edges only, not the bottom) to keep it from moving and to avoid trapping water under it. The included wiring is long enough for any installation.
Because of the direct-connection to the stereo system, signal quality and sound are definitely CD-quality - and gone are the fades and radio interference that prompted the purchase. Installed for nearly a year - no complaints, no regrets.

I had had trouble maintaining a good audio signal from my XM to my radio; then there was always the station bleed through and always looking for a clear channel too use. After installing the XM FM Adapter, I have not had to touch my FM radio. I travel through NY, Vermont, Mass, & HN. I now have an Adapter in my work Truck as well as my personal Truck. I was ready to trough away my XM before I bought the XM FM Adapter. But after installing the Adapter and the clarity that I now have what a difference. Instulation took about 10 min, but well worth it.Customer Review: works better but still has static.

This is an improvement over the weak signal that is broadcast out of the sattelite radio to be received by your FM radio. After the easy installation of this device, the signal will not fade in and out anymore but there is a static sound that is very noticeable mainly on talk radio stations. I thought I had a defective part but I replaced it and had the same result. I also had one on my wife's car and it does the same thing. After purchasing this, I decided to upgrade my stereo to a unit that had an auxilary input which solved the problem.Customer Review: No complaints. Works great. A no brainer.

I have a first gen Delphi MyFi XM2GO, which I listened to in my 2003 Honda CR-V using the cassette adapter for sound and cigarette lighter for power. The cassette adapter or the cassette player started malfunctioning frequently. I bought a new car stereo and the XM radio adapter. They were both professionally installed. No additional adapters were needed. The sound quality is great and there is no interference from FM radio stations. All of the wires are hidden behind the dash, including the power supply. I wish I had done this years ago.
