The direct connection provides crystal clear sound from my XM tuner and couldn't be better.
One thing I didn't realize until after I got it installed was that when the XM radio is on, the direct connection switches off my car radio antenna. So if I want to switch from listening to XM to my regular radio, I can't hear some of my favorite over-the-air radio stations unless I turn my XM tuner off (which takes a few seconds).
If you switch between XM and the regular radio very often, you may want to think about it before going with this option.

Minus the cigarette hardwired setup, this was fast and easy. It works great... I no longer loose the signal or have to change it. I highly recommend this. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there were no instructions on how to hard wire the cigarette lighter.Customer Review: Good

The product works great in my car, but I didn't realize it wasn't a self install product. I did have to pay a professional to install this part. I think that there is a self install product available for the XpressRC but I bought this one by mistake. I do wish there was a FM signal sender which didn't require installation. This product is so good it over powers radio stations that would come in the best in my area! It is easy to self install for someone that has alittle common since. Again this product is great! No more static!!
