This device pair essentially replaces a stereo audio cable. You would want it any place where you could not otherwise run a cable due to building structure. Another use is to use it where you want to have your audio speakers available to be moved from room to room. Just plug it in to the wall for power and plug a short audio cable from source to sender and from receiver to an amplifier or powered speakers. Total convenience. The audio is excellent. I would have given it five stars if it had greater RANGE. It covers ALMOST my whole house (average sized home). Note that this unit has two parts: sender and receiver. There is only one power supply provided, because the sender was designed to be powered by a USB port, so the power supply was intended to be used on the receiver. If your audio source is NOT a computer, you'll need a second power supply. I had a defunct USB hub available and used that to power the second unit. For most people, this would not be necessary.

CD-quality HD stereo sound with no reduction in audio quality. Hear all your music - no dropouts, static, or noise. Some pretty clever engineering means your music remains free from interference from wireless routers, cordless and mobile phones, microwave ovens, Bluetooth and WiFi devices. Most wireless audio products are difficult to use because they require you to download and install software, set up a network, and often require you to manually try to find a clear audio channel. The AW1 is plug-and-play so no software installation is needed - just connect both dongles to USB power (or to a USB battery pack), connect the audio cables, and wait 2 to 3 seconds for the status lights to go solid.
