I have used these stands for a Panasonic SC-PT650 home theater as well as a Sony HT-SS2300 home theater. I have had no problems with either system. The stands are more of a matte grey than the shiny silver in the pic. I am considering painting them black. They have a sturdy, heavy base, but can be kind of tricky to fit in small spaces though. These are perfectly good stands and you can't really beat the price.
**I bought another pair of these in black, they look MUCH better.

Stands are very stable and fit my Panasonic HTiB rear speakers perfectly. I was a little worried that the cast iron base would scratch my hardwood floor but they came nicely padded. The actual titanium color is much darker than the picture....almost close to a black finish (graphite). I've spent much more money on other stands that I've had to fiddle with for hours to get the right setup...these were good straight out of the box and work perfectly. I recently purchased a Sony HT-DDW670 home theatre system, and purchased two sets of these speaker stands for the front and rear speakers. The mounting kits worked perfectly, although they can be a little bit tedious to assemble. Nothing any reasonably smart person can't figure out.
Walmart carries these speaker stands for under $30, and that's where I got mine. I'd suggest doing the same to avoid shipping costs, because they are definitely heavy.

Overall, the product is fine. However, I am unable to use them because they did not fit my surround speakers. The hole for the screws to attach to the stand were too high for the brace. It would be helpful if the dimensions included the dimensions of the brace that attaches to the speaker. I am using a standard Polk RM10 surround sound 5/1 speaker set, and the hole for the screw is 5 1/2 " from the base. The maximum height for the brace is about 4".Customer Review: Do NOT fit Yamaha speakers

Stands are a good price but they do not fit my Yamaha surround sound speakers. Yamaha surround sound speakers are pretty tall and the holes for these speakers are too high. I called Atlantic but they cannot give a larger vertical riser or a larger plate for the speakers to rest on!!! I would have thought that they would be able to do so but they categorically say NOT.....
Do not get these if you have a YAMAMA system...
