Customer Review: Decent entry-level stands

As one of the previous reviewers mentioned, the color for this stand is not silver, it's more like grey color. The stand base is just heavy enough to make it a sturdy reliable stand for satellite speakers. I'm not sure if these would be good for bookshelf speakers. The speaker mount insert is also not enough to secure 2 screws to the speakers. So if you plan to use these for samll satellite speakers, this will do the job, I would not recommend these for bookshelf speakers.
For the price this does a decent job. I have not seen any other stands in stores for this price.

I purchased my first stand from Walmart a month ago and I was amazed with the quality of the stand. Even though my speakers are small (4x4x4inches), the stand seems robust enough to hold bigger speakers. In addition, the speaker wires run into the stand which makes the stand look even more professional. Furthermore, what I really liked is that the stand does not look cheap and is as good as the expensive ones.
I ordered another one from Amazon but because Amazon was too lazy to ship the stand (waited 5 days) I canceled my order and bought it from Walmart.

These stands are all they claim to be. Stands. They are flat black, telescopic and the wire hides by going up the middle of the stands tube. Thats all that needs to be said. They are sturdy, balanced well, good looking speaker stands. The only negative thing I could say is that once you telescope up, when you retrack the tube, becareful NOT to get the speaker wire caught in the sliding tube and cut it or break it. That might ruin your day. Other than that, easy to assemble, placement is up to you, and they stand there and look good, just like STANDS are suppose to do.Customer Review: Great Speaker Stands

Very solid speaker stands. The item is actually not silver but more of a dark patterned grey. The way the stand is built it can fit just about any type of speakers, but if you're not a "handy" person be prepared to call someone that's handy. Came with a lot of screws but non fit my speakers but because of the versatility of it's construction it was very simple to make them fit. I actually mounted very large speakers on them and they mounted just fine and looks absolutely gorgeous. I would recommend them to anyone. I use these for Bose cube speakers, and they work fine. They are definitely beefier than they appear on the screen, though. The upside is that I would have no problem putting much bigger speakers on the stands. The downside is that they are overkill for the little cubes.
The finish is a grainy (i.e. rough) grey powder coat. It is unobtrusive, but a metallic finish might look a bit more elegant.
Overall, they work fine, and they are easily adjustable and sturdy (and cheap!). They just look a little different in person than on the screen.
