Customer Review: Excellent Stands for the price. You'll need tape for the Onkyo surround speakers.

These stands are about 3 feet high with my Onkyo Surrounds attached. Excellent heavy build quality, and the stands are not imposing and blend fairly well into the rest of my furniture. Wire runs through the body of the stand - giving it a very clean look.
That being said, the surrounds for Onkyo systems (I'm using this with my Onkyo HT-S6300 7.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver and Speaker Package with iPod Dock)are pretty high and the screw for attaching the L bracket is too high. I used the double sided tape along the base for mine and it seems to be pretty secure.
I'm also running in-wall rated insulated 14 gauge speaker wire, and the stands accommodate this thick wire perfectly, even through the groove in the bottom of the base. I'm very happy with these, I'll probably buy 2 more for the front channels.
One thing to consider is that these stands are not height adjustable and the speakers will not angle down. So be mindful of your seating height before purchasing this.

First of all, this is a great stand! Well made and sturdy.
However, here are some differences/facts you may want to know.
1. The titanium stands are nowhere near as bright as the photo posted for the item. They are a dark grey color and look fantastic in my opinion.
2. The stands do not correctly fit for Onkyo HT-S6300 7.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver and Speaker Package with iPod Dock. They speaker bolt hole does not line up with the attachment portion of these stands. However, you can use the provided double sided tape to adhere the speakers to the stand or if you are daring, you can drill the speakers onto the stands through the provided drill holes. I chose the double sided tape option and feel fine with that. I would rather not take a drill to my newly bought speaker system...
Thats all! Great stand but just make sure you are ok with the points mentioned above.

What makes something worth buying? When given the same amount you would pay for it, you can't make something as good yourself. I was actually considering making my own stands but when I came up with the bill of materials the cost quickly exceeded buying these individually. Not to mention the self-built one won't look as nice and will be harder to replace in the future (can't just buy another one).
Only complaint about this stand is that the threads on the base where the poles meet might be worn down easily and cause the poles to tilt slightly. However, having a stand is better than not having any at all! I was quite happy with the results, as the stands are height adjustable so that I can aim them directly at ear level.
I have mounted Logitec z530 to it and it was quite easy with the included mounting hardware. When I upgraded to klipsch HD 300 the mounting was even easier as these stands were designed to mount home theater speakers.

I picked up 2 sets of these stands (4 total). The base of the stands are equipped with felt pads out of the box. The felt was a little thin for my taste (we recently finished putting in new wood floors) so I applied some heavy duty felt I picked up from Lowes.
The base is heavy cast iron. I selected these to go with the Energy 5.1 Take Classic Home Theater System (Set of Six, Black) from Amazon (should be delivered later today or tomorrow).
I like the look of these speaker stands and assembly was trivial. I did complete extensive research before ordering these stands and the $ Value + Reviews tipped me over the edge to place the order.
They come well packaged and delivery was FAST.
I'll add to this review once the speakers arrive and we have a chance to setup the system: Out of the Box = 5 Stars.

I bought these a few months ago to go with my home theater system. I mounted my rear speakers on them and have one on each side of my sofa, I raised them to their maximum height so the speakers sit at or above ear level, when I use the surround sound I sometimes have to turn back thinking ths sound is coming from outside in the street, the speakers are at optimal height for surround sound listening and I have to thank these stands for that, the base is heavy enough to keep the speakers from tipping over easily and there is enough mounting hardware for almost any type of small surround sound speakers. Setting them up was easy and I like that I can run the speaker wires in them for a clean looking install, plus my 9 month old daughter won't be able to pull on the wires when she is crawling around. Although they aren't the most expensive or best stands on the market, for cheap ones they are pretty sturdy, I am very satified with this purchase.
