Please heed the size specifications for speakers on these stands. I ordered these for my small Energy Take 5 Classics (small bookshelf speakers, 6 7/8" x 4 1/8" x 4 1/8") and there was no way these would fit unless I felt like drilling into the speaker cabinet itself or applying a lot of double-sided tape. The L-shaped bracket that mounts to the top of the stand (which then attaches to your speaker's keyhole or threaded screw mount point) is *very short*. The stands themselves seem quite sturdy and the base heavy enough -- I think they would have easily been up to the task of holding more medium-sized satellites, if the mounting hardware was different. The Amazon page really should show the dimensions of acceptable speakers (I didn't see them on the page at the time I wrote this) -- just an indication that the stands hold speakers "up to 2 lbs". For me, this was a stability guideline, not a fit guideline. However, the box itself does say speakers no more than 3" or so (can't remember exactly) in height.Customer Review: Not for long speakers

This product has heavy-duty stands and is attractive. However, it is not very adaptable. It does not fit my long speakers, which are 11-1/2" long, part of the Onkyo 7.1CH HT-S6300 surround sound system. There are various options for mounting the speaker to the stand: 1) use the nut and washers that screw into the speaker nut (which is in the middle back of speaker)- this is the preferred option-- but my speaker's length placed the nut too far above the thick wire bar it must fit within; 2) use double-sided adhesive pads to connect speaker to the mount-- this seemed too flimsy and my speaker wire is too thick (12AWG) to allow a flush mount with this method; or 3) screw the speaker directly into the mount from below-- since my speakers are plastic and I did not want to chance cracking it, this is not a good option. Unfortunately, I did not figure out it wouldn't work until I was on the last assembly step. So I had to pack it all back up. Pretty frustrating. These speakers are the least expensive I could find anywhere. I paid $36.99 and shipping was Free with super saver discount (would have been $11.48). Everywhere else was $50/$70+ before shipping. Sturdy metal construction (cast iron perhaps?). Includes padded felt on bottom of stands to help protect floors. All needed screws were included. Easy to assemble. Should fit most speakers.
If I had to be picky, the finish on the stands is not what I expected, somewhat rough texture (not a big deal), mine came with a few white marks on the brand name sticker on the base, but it came off easily with a damp cloth.
Only down side...I had a set of really old sony rear surround speakers that had two horizontal screw holes, but the speaker stands are set up to attach to screws in the center. Easy fix though, I had to turn my speakers sideways to make it work.
Great Buy. Well worth the price. I would definately buy these again. Hope this helps your decision.

You could not ask for a better set of stands for the price. The solid cast iron construction and easy set-up make the Atlantic 77305018 Satellite Speaker Stands the perfect purchase for the budget minded consumer.
The stands require only limited assembly which can be completed in a matter of minutes with only a screw driver. The height of the stands can be adjusted with the flick of a wrist and the base seems to hold the stand sturdy even on carpet, though stability may very on the weight of the speakers being mounted.
The only knock against this set has to be the limited selection of mounting methods. Although these stands are universal as advertised, it is likely that a choice will have to be made between trusting the double-sided tape (included in the box) or drilling holes into your speakers for mounting screws.
For the price, construction and ease of setup, I would recommend these for the penny pinching consumer.

These speaker stands are excellent quality for the price. Really sturdy, with coaster pads on the bottom mount. Took a matter of minutes to put together 4 of them (disconnecting my surround sound and re-connecting was not the same story). I love the ease of setup for these stands, I really was impressed with the heavy-duty base-mount, as we have a toddler and was worried about these getting knocked down on top of her. The front end of the mount makes these great for having the front half hidden under the couch for the back left and right speakers. The front right and left still look great with the front-end of the mount exposed, as it discretely says 'ATLANTIC' in red print. I didn't have a screw-thread in the back of my speakers to mount it to the stand, but the Stands came with double-sided small adhesive strips and they work like a charm! The extension rods make it so easy to position at just the right level for the perfect surround sound environment. Highly recommend!
