Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Atlantic Satellite 77305018 2 Speaker Stands (Black)Customer Review: Decent, gets the job done Summary: 4 Stars
These stands wont blow your socks off but they get the job done nicely. There's plenty of hardware to match your satellite config and attach the speakers to the stand. The stands have nice up/down twist lock slide action. The bases aren't the best looking things in the world but you hardly notice once they are in place.
*My only real gripe is with the quality of the metal bases. Once you start threading the poles into the bases you realize that tightening them down can become a crap-shoot. The bases are made of a soft crapmetal mix which wouldn't matter except the threads on the poles are very fine machine thread. If you crank the poles down tight you can literally pull the metal threads right out of the base so be careful not to over-tighten the poles into the bases.
Customer Review: Great Speaker Stands!! Summary: 5 Stars
I needed some cheap speaker stands for my rear surround sound speakers and after seeing that these were the #1 stands on Amazon and a very fair price I figured I would give them a try. The package arrived extremely fast (used free shipping option and arrived in 2 days) and was very easy to put together. I really like that the wires can be hidden in the tubing, it makes for a nice clean look. It was also very easy to adjust the height of the stands. The speakers that I use fit easily into the universal mount and feel pretty solid. Overall I was so happy with the look and price of these stands I decided to buy another set for my front speakers. If you are looking for an inexpensive but nicely made set of speaker stands you can't go wrong with these from Antlantic Satellite.
Customer Review: Sturdy, good looking, can hold more than 2lbs but will require drilling your speakers Summary: 5 Stars
The first thing I'd like to say is about the 2lbs speaker limit. I think you could put in more than 2lbs speakers on there as long as the speaker is attached to the center and you don't have it extended all the way up.
The second thing I'd like to say is that you better get your drill out and find some short screws. I think the stand was designed for some speakers but to get it to work for your speakers, you'll have to drill the bottom.
Pros: telscoping (so it extends), big heavy base, looks nice, hides wires
Cons: the top base is small but not much of a con as you have to drill and screw the speakers on, the height adjustment can sometimes stick
I'm happy with the stands since it really pulled my home theater system together.
Customer Review: Almost perfect Summary: 4 Stars
I enjoy the new speaker stands every day. My only problem is that the speakers I have are too tall; the screw hole is higher than the stands allow me to use. So I had to use the backup plan of adhesive strips on the bottom of the speaker. These are provided in the stands' packaging and work pretty well, but I have cats and I doubt the strips will stay in place if a stand gets knocked over.
Overall, though, good product, solidly built. The handles for height adjustment are secure and I don't feel there's any danger of normal wear and tear. Also, my concern about the cats isn't too big a deal: the wide base makes it fairly unlikely that cats can knock them over unless they really, really try. Which, you know ... they're cats, so it could happen.
Customer Review: Amazing Summary: 5 Stars
Was looking for a great deal on quality speaker stands, I read these reviews here at Amazon at thought I would give it a shot. Ordered three pairs. They arrived this week. Let me say that the reviews above are true, this is a quality stand for a little over $23, unbelievable! Walked through BestBuy and all stands, including the cheaper quality are almost $50 or higher a pair.
This is what I like, solid construction, heavy base, extendable pole, mounting braket appears to be universal for both sit-on and screw to back situations. I also needed a stand that could hold heavy sattelites, the specs states 10lbs, I find this to be true, I see no problems with my heavy sattelites.
Very happy with this deal, can't beat it!
