Customer Review: Horrible Quality and Construction
Summary: 1 Stars

Buyer beware! I usually don't review items, but this one was so bad that I couldn't help but want to warn anyone who is thinking of purchasing it! The quality and construction of this unit is horrible. The screws did not even stay in the fake wood. (I knew this wasn't solid wood, but usually, screws will take). After putting it "together", it LITERALLY fell apart as soon as I picked it up to move it to the spot where it was going. The back panel came in broken and the shelves were rough. Also...the unit does not hold as many DVD's as advertised...at least not in an upright position. The shelves aren't evenly distributed so the last shelf holds the DVD's laying down. Overall....this product is not worth the already cheap price! It's truly a case of "you get what you pay for!". I returned mine and got a really nice piece from Target for a few bucks more!!

Customer Review: I think it's a great deal!
Summary: 5 Stars

I read the other reviews before ordering, and thought to myself, "Heck, for right at $30, even if they are flimsy, it's better than just stacking my DVD's on the floor!" I'm really pleased!!! I read the one review about using the glue - so when I put mine together, I put glue in the slot for the back, and believe me, I think they are wonderful! It went together in about 15 minutes (and then I let it sit for another 45 for the glue to dry) - took me longer to sort my DVD's than to put the cases together! They are small enough to fit into that nook or cranny, but big ehough to hold a lot! One little note, though, you can't get 5 rows of DVD's in one. (It looks like you can in the pictures - but they won't fit!) I got 4 rows of 28 DVD's per row - could have probably shoved one more in per row, but for $30, I'll just buy another one!

Customer Review: won't buy another one! cheap material!
Summary: 1 Stars

Very cheap material. It's almost like, don't look at me, because I'll break! I would not have paid $30 bucks for this.. it's like worth $5 bucks or something. They spent more on the quality of designing the box (that you throw away) than the cabinet material itself. The bolts you use to hold the inner shelves are a joke.. they keep falling off when you are inserting DVDs into the cabinet.

I have experience in building things and assembling things like these. The instructions were easy to figure out and the glue came in handy to paste the wooden rivets. But otherwise.. if you are looking for something down the line that will last you a bit longer... look elsewhere.

I am sure that this cabinet won't last too long when my sister's kids cruise over this weekend. LOL!

Customer Review: okay, but not quite what's described
Summary: 2 Stars

It does not have "2 fixed shelves and 4 adjustable shelves." All six shelves are adjustable, which means it's unstable. It wiggles a few inches from side to side when you touch it. I placed mine up against a different (stable) shelf, and that solved the problem; luckily it leans in the right direction. If you don't have something for it to lean on, you'll have to anchor it to your wall (they don't include anything to anchor it with, although they do include a random tube of what I assume is glue -- I guess they have a sense of humor about their craftmanship).

Also, it doesn't hold 112 DVDs unless you stack them sideways. It holds about 96, with a CD-sized shelf left over. If you use it to store CDs or a combination of CDs and DVDs, then the advertised capacity is accurate.

Customer Review: Great Buy!!!!
Summary: 4 Stars

When I read some of the reviews I was a little afraid of purchasing this product, since the reviews were so mixed. I went ahead and ordered it though, since the price was good and it shipped free with prime. I got my order two days after I purchased it and it was in great condition. It was real easy to put together --) took me about 20 minutes. You'll need an electric strewdriver or drill to put it together. It's really sturdy though. One of the reviewers said they had to use wood glue; I didn't have that problem. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it had a weird smell to it from the oils used to treat the wood, which upset my allergies. I wiped it down good though and that helped. Other than that, I love it :)
