I originally purchased an Archos 504 (on a pre-order basis) and this docking station. The docking station arrived in a timely manner.
I ended up buying the Archos 504 from another vendor.
Although the docking station isn't absolutely necessary, it is a great addition to the product. It allows for wall charging, which is convenient when a PC isn't available. It also includes a USB hosting device and USB docking station.

This does not receive full stars only because I believe this should already be included with the Archos unit. You can charge the Archos with a USB port but it takes a LOOONG time. The combo kit is cheap enough so I do not know why it is not included. The kit does what it does and it charges many times faster than USB for sure.Customer Review: Archos Docking Adaptor Kit

Its a great kit to have with your Archos 604. No need to lug the laptop on vacations...you can connect your camera to the dock and download your pictures in minutes! Great buy!
