Customer Review: Cheap construction and hard to clean

I was so ecited to get this juicer for Christmas. I have recently had a lifestyle change and have been wanting to eat better. I unpacked the jucier and was surprised how poorly it was made. Its all plastic and not heavy duty plastic either. It does juice okay. However, in the pulp bin there is always lots of liquid that could have been juiced. It also gets clogged at the shoot. Onto the cleaning of the machine. What a mess. This machine is compile of like 6 pieces all of which have to be cleaned. It takes a solid 25 minutes just to prep the machine and clean it. The blade piece is impossible to clean after about 15-20 uses. Mold finds its way into the pices of the plastic that you cannot get cleaned. And dont get me started on the opening of the shoot. Not only is it too small, the half cresent moon shape of it, does not allow of ANY fruit to go through. I have to chop up an orange into 4 pieces to get it to fit in!!!! So in addition to the time it takes to clean this machine, it takes forever to peel and chop everything up in order for it to fit.
I am buying a new juicer next week.One that will handle Non peeled vegies and fruits and does not waste juice. I am buying a Breville - Juice Fountain Plus Electric Juicer to be exact!!!!
I would NOT reccomend this juicer to anyone who intends to juice daily. Now I will say if you are just an ocasional juicer, for the price this machine will do the job. But for [..] bucks, expect to get [..] bucks worth!
