Could not use to plug in iTouch and after my wife used it for a week with her iPhone it sparked, smoked and stopped working. The quality indicates to me that this is either not an Apple product or one that has been recalled.Customer Review: Is this the correct output voltage??

FYI: This is listed here as 5 V output, put Apple Support says their adapter for Ipod Classic is 12 V

The item is not as described (it is not a New Apple product). It is either a fake/counterfeit or a refurbished item. Has number of dents and and scratches and I wouldn't risk using it with an expensive iPhone or iPod.Customer Review: do not buy!

this is a product made for Japan not the U.S. as it clearly has "Apple Japan" on it.
it will stop working after about 1 month.
