I ordered this item on Friday and received the order the following Monday (processed, shipped and delivered just over the weekend via standard shipping)! Despite the bad experience and negative feedback from some customers, mine does have a green dot and it works perfectly with my iPhone 3G. All 3 of the adapters I bought have the green dot, and they all work. They look like Apple adapters and even say Designed by Apple in Cupertino on them, just like the original. Don't know how they sell 'em so cheap unless their counterfeits. I don't leave them plugged in except when I'm charging; I just don't trust them. However, I can't complain. I do not understand why this company is still allowed to sell on Amazon. This is a fake! It was not in Apple packaging with weird writing, not regular Apple markings. Because it arrived simply in a poly bag, it was scratched and dented up as well. A scratched up fake is what I call garbage! I purchased this item from OEM. The item did not work. I left negative feedback regarding the item. Was told I would get a credit and replacement.
To date I received THREE emails from OEM on how to remove the negative feedback but have not received the replacement!!
STAY AWAY FROM OEM THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS!!!

I bought this adapter on 2/27/11 and it arrived 3/11/11. I used it three times between the date of its arrival and 4/7/11 when it just quit working. I tried the same cord with another adapter and it worked fine. When I looked on Amazon.com the site said that the exchange time had expired. I would not recommend this adapter.
