I was very displeased with this product.
I have an iPod Touch and use it very often. I also have to carry the charger around with me to a lot of places and I also use it a lot. The white wire insulation that is around the actual wires started ripping off from the top and started slipping until the wires of the charger were visible. I decided to just use some tape and tape it so it would not slip any further. This was not too good of an idea and eventually the insulation had slipped far enough that my charger would not work any more. I was not happy at all since I knew that replacing my USB connector with another connector from Apple would cost me $20. So, of course, I came onto amazon. I found this product and was very pleased with how low the price was.
Big mistake. When I received this product the product did not look anything like the picture. It was not a smooth, well-designed charger by Apple but some plastic thing that you had to push the two sides at the top to be able to plug it in and it seemed like it probably cost 10 cents to make, if even that much.
Now, not only did it not look like the image and sound like the description, it DIDN'T EVEN WORK!! I plugged it into my iPod and my computer and it would not charge. I tried unplugging, replugging, waiting, and more MANY times.
I was really upset because I knew this meant that I had to buy another expensive one from Apple.
So, I went into the Apple Store at my mall and was completely surprised.
They actually provided me with a free charger. The man was very understanding and explained that this happens to many people and said that he could give me one complimentary one since my iPod was still under warranty and this was the first time that something like this had happened to me.
So, needless to say, I was very pleased.
Anyone who wants to buy this because it's cheap.. DON'T!!! Go to a local Apple Store instead and get a nicer, sleeker and much better one for FREE and don't waste your time with this just because it's cheap.
