Customer Review: Simple.
Summary: 3 Stars

There's not much here. You put music on it. It's a big playlist - it's kind of hard to handle, because iTunes wants to make it Autofill and do all kinds of fancy things to you and your unit. Then you unplug the device, you turn it on, and music plays.

You do have to learn some morse code to understand the iPod Shuffle's language. After walking around with the cheat sheet piece of paper, I got the gist of it quickly. Older iPod fans many have issues seeing the small, tiny dot and decyphering its meanings.

I had an issue with the Shuffle. Apple's return and repair policy is exceptional and swift.

The sound quality is average and the battery life isn't anything special.

All in all, the Shuffle is a rather boring, abet simple product. It does come with a slight learning cirve, and there are definitely cheaper and easier alternatives out there. For some people, it could be their dream come true.

Customer Review: functional once u get past the setup
Summary: 3 Stars

So I buy the shuffle because it is wicked small, figure it will have the same simple drag and drop setup that the ipod has. Well, i come to find that loading music is pretty annoying, and slow. Music has to link up to the music loaded on you iTunes library which is annoying if i move some of the music around. when I want to delete music from the device agian, its easier to write down what songs you want to delete because doing it one by one will take far too long.
The device works fine, as would be expected from an apple product, but in comparison to what I'm already used to (iPod) the loading and unloading process is slower and as a result annoying. Other than that, once its good to go, its great for working out, small, practically weight less, unobtrusive. If there was another procut out there that was just as small , i would probably not get the ipod, but given that there isnt one as small, ill have to stick to this one for now.

Customer Review: An okay iPod
Summary: 2 Stars

This was my very first iPod that I had gotten last year for a gift. I was very pleased with it for a while, until I ran out of space to put all of my music on. There is no expandable memory for this iPod, and that is not a good thing if you are going to shell out 80 dollars for this product. The size of this iPod could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it. I carry a small purse without a lot of stuff in it and I had a hard time finding the thing. The perk to having a smaller iPod is that it doesn't take up a lot of space. One of my other gripes is that there is no screen there to tell you what is playing and how much of the battery you have left. All I have on this is the colors of the flashing little light to give me a rough idea. iTunes is easy enough to use but it can take a long time to load one song onto your iPod. That is why I switched to an iPod classic to give me what I wanted and more.

Customer Review: Serriously?
Summary: 5 Stars

Did any one serriously buy this for [...]? From the page it says they're selling the 1 gig Shuffle for 200, or am iI just insane? Isn't it only arround 75 bucks? For [...]you might as well just go buy a nano. Not to say that it isn't a great product. The shuffle is the exact opposite of all the bad reviews on my end. They all say that the shuffle is difficult to synk, konks out after a month or so,and that they're just a load of trouble. There's a chance that with any electronics you buy they could fail. Especially mp3s that aren't apples. In my experiences, all the non apple mp3 players i bought have turned out to be crap. Only the apples have survived. Ive had my shuffle for at least a year and I just got the new nano for my birthday this month. They both work great and I have been showing no sign of stopping ever since. So go ahead and flip the coin that is life. Buy the dalm ipod. P.S. COBY Freakin Sucks!!!!!!

Customer Review: Apple iPod Shuffle
Summary: 5 Stars

I am truly loving this little gadget! This is my first ipod/mp3 player and I must admit that at first I was hesitant to buy one because I ride the bus & sub to work so safety is a concern but it's a great way to zone out during the ride - I simply clip it on and go (it's nice to be able to wear it under my coat so it can't be snatched off of my person).

Right now I have 248 songs loaded and because I only listen to it while traveling the battery lasts about 10 days. I love the shuffle feature which adds an element of surprise to the listening experience. It's also wonderful that I can use my own pair of in-ear buds instead of having to use the Apple buds that came with the shuffle.

For someone like me who only uses the ipod sporadically, this is a most useful invention that has added a lot of pleasure to my daily commute!
