Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Apple iPod shuffle 1 GB Silver (2nd Generation) OLD MODELCustomer Review: Expensive for what it is. Summary: 4 Stars
I won my iPod shuffle, so I didn't have to pay $75 for it. After playing with it for a few hours, I could not imagine paying $75 for it. It has virtually no features, and only holds 1GB of music. For the same price, you can get a full featured MP3 player that holds 2 to 4 times as much music. With that being said, what the Shuffle can do, it does fairly well. It's also very tiny, so that might be a plus to some. I give it 4 stars for not costing me anything, and working well.
Edit: The average price of the "Shuffle" has dropped below $50. IMO it is now a decent buy for what it is.
Customer Review: Simple but compact and excellent Summary: 5 Stars
I picked the Shuffle for my wife because she wanted an simple music player, had no interest in pictures or videos, and needed a device that was easy to sync with straightforward software. I have experience with several MP3 players used on Windows platforms, and I knew she would be frustrated with the downloading issues. The Shuffle works perfectly. It is easy to sync with iTunes, it is very compact and can be clipped to a T-shirt, it holds plenty of music for her purposes, and the sound quality is great. If you want just music, a compact device, and simple operations, the Shuffle is for you.
Customer Review: Happy!!! Summary: 4 Stars
First of all the product arrived in record time!
I immediately went about downloading my music then I ran out of space and it was then I realized that the memory capacity seem to be less than 1GB and additionally much of the space was taken up with something called other files. After googling I discovered that by restoring the ipod it would free up the space... had to do it twice which meant loading the music again. Hence the 4 stars. But alll in all I'm happy with this ipod it's so easy to carry and perfect for walking/jogging and the . I'll be needing a 4GB soon!
Customer Review: compact and simple Summary: 4 Stars
This is actually my second MP3 player. The first was a piece of junk. The shuffle is small and simple to use. I had it playing songs in less than 30 minutes after I got some of my music downloaded to my computer. I am not one of the types that has to see what is playing. I put my shuffle on when I start my workout, push play, lock the keys, and continue with my workout. I just let it go. I did have to buy another type of ear pieces because the ones provided are not very workout friendly. They tend to fall out. Otherwise, I am very pleased with my new shuffle.
Customer Review: Convenient Summary: 4 Stars
The best part about the shuffle is that it's so small and easy to just clip to your shirt. You won't even notice that it's there. Compared to using a 1st generation shuffle, the on/off and shuffle/cycle switches on are a bit harder to use (since they're on the bottom of the device and challenging to get at if you have large fingers). Also, obviously the device does not have a display, so you have to just scroll along to get to the song you want if you have alot of songs stored in there. If you're ok with these 2 minor things, this a great little device.
