All I wanted was an iPod that I could listen to while taking a walk or riding the subway to and from work. I don't need a screen that shows me the song that's playing. I don't need video; I listen to music to enjoy listening to music! I certainly don't need more than this Shuffle's capacity. And I am not looking to impress anyone with something super-expensive and eye-catching. For me, smaller is better, and they don't come much smaller than this. So...the tiny iPod Shuffle is perfect for me. It easy to use, has good sound, and the controls are so minimal and manageable that I don't have to take it out of my pocket to use them. Of course, not everyone feels that no-frills is the way to go. But if you do like it simple, prefer Apple products, and either don't want to or can't spend a lot of money, I believe you'll be happy with the Shuffle.Customer Review: A gift that can be appreciated by people of all ages

This is a well designed product:
- small size
- light weight
- durable
- nice earphones
- easily clipable to clothing
- buttons simple enough for the less tech savy
- holds plenty of songs (though even 200 starts to feel a little small)
- MOST IMPORTANTLY: this is a gift that is appreciated by people of all ages! Once you load the right music, this is a perfect music player gift.
Issues:
- no way to swap between playlists. If you listen to different types of music you have to forward to get to the songs you're in the mood for.
- for those who don't always have access to computers or travel a lot, I recommend you buy a USB wall charger (I bought the Coby CA-80: a bit large but it does the job)

Who knew anything this small could pack such a punch? I looked into ipod when they first came out and thought Ill never use it. Was I wrong! On this tiny iPod Shuffle I can fit 240 of my all time favorite tunes. Its the biggest "mix tape" ever! Now I know why the iPod ads show everyone dancing so uninhibitedly. Its like having music in your head! You cant help but move. I am dancing around my house on a regular basis, something I havent done in years. The sound is amazing. Its easy to use. I clip it on my shirt and my workouts at the gym are better than ever. My fellow exercisers shouldnt be surprised if, one day, I cant contain myself and dance ecstatically around the gym!Customer Review: I love my Shuffle!

What is there to say about the iPod shuffle that hasn't already been said in the other 300+ reviews?
So here are the five things *I* like best about it:
It's small and lightweight and goes right into my shirt pocket.
It's inexpensive so if i lose or break it or if it is stolen no big deal.
I can use the controls without looking at it.
It holds just the right amount of music.
Sand doesn't mess it up at the beach.
The charge lasts a long time.
Okay, so that's six.
Anyway, I've had my shuffle for 2 1/2 years and I still love it.

I have the 1st generation shuffle (gift) - thought it was great replacement for the Sony Stick version that I had many years ago. This version is great for running and workouts as it is sooo small and non-intrusive, and with its own clip. I know Apple has just announced the 2GB version but for my running - 1GB and the battery life are more than enough features for me. What a great price. I have had this item on my 'to buy list' for a long time as I thought the original $80 was a little too high. I cant be happier with this new price.
