Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Apple iPod nano 8 GB Blue (4th Generation) [Previous Model]Customer Review: Impressive! Summary: 5 Stars
I wanted a nano after selling my iPod a couple of months ago. I didn't use my iPod because I had an iPhone. But sometimes using my iPhone as an iPod for long periods of the day would drain my battery and I didn't want that happening. So i seeked out for a new iPod Nano. Cheaper and smaller was what drew me to the nano. I looked all over to maybe get a good deal on it but decided that I should wait. A couple of weeks later the new nano comes out and WOW. Have you seen the new features? Wow. Apple has almost out done itself. The new design and features are just what blew me away and I had to get one.
I would highly recommend this newly designed iPod Nano. i have the blue one and it's just so cool looking. Love the free games that come with it and everything about it.
Maybe after a few weeks I can have bad things to say about it, but until then...I LOVE IT!
Customer Review: Great Product Summary: 4 Stars
I have had the iPod nano 4G for nearly two months now. It is a great product. This is my first iPod and am very satisfied with it. Great sound quality and LCD screen. They have had an update a while which allows you to turn coverflow off if you don't want it on. I find it great for running, small and compact. Many reviews give the battery a poor rating, while I tend to give it an 'average.' It seems to lose a lot of 'juice' just sitting around for a few days, but you are able to listen several times before needing to recharge it. I would say that the battery works perfectly fine for someone wanting it for normal use. However, I have found that the LCD screen can really drain the battery. And as far as compatibility with 'non-apple' or 3rd party charging accessories, I have not used any of them. Overall, it is a great iPod!
Customer Review: refurbed Gen 4 Nano beats a new Gen 6 in my opinion Summary: 4 Stars
Bought a refurbished Gen 4 Nano because I hate the new Gen 6 form factor, and it didn't want to pay for uneeded video capability and the FM radio of the Gen 5.
Given this is an "old" product with over 1300 reviews, I'm limiting my review to the refurb job.
This particular refurb was sold by RockerJake.com and is not a factory refurb.
Pros:
Lower cost than factory refurb
The blue anodized case is perfect, no scratches, no dings
New screen
New click wheel bezel
New Apple ear buds and docking/charge cable
Fully functional
Bonus wall charger (aftermarket)
Cons:
Unlike factory refurb, battery is not new (but seems to be holding a charge fine)
No 1-year factory warranty
No regrets so far.
Customer Review: great item to have Summary: 5 Stars
The 4th gen iPod is full of features and is very portable. The new 5th generation looks the same and is the same size, but has a couple more features, which is nice if you need them. But now that it is out, prices have dropped on the 4th gen, and if you don't mind giving up a couple things (compare the two and judge for yourself), then this makes an easy to use, portable, great unit to have. Add in the universal accessibility of iPod, and it is a no-brainer to carry one around, whether in the car, in the gym, or just around the house. Very easy to use, sound is good (better if you ditch the crappy headphones it comes with and get something decent), and very small size makes this a must have, especially in any one of the available colors.
Customer Review: ipod nano 4th gen. Summary: 4 Stars
I had an ipod shuffle that I really liked but it didn't work with my new car's radio system, so I needed to upgrade to a nano. I chose a 4th generation nano because I don't need the video element in the car. I'm not used to using the wheel, so it annoys me a little, but it does make it nice and compact with no buttons sticking out. I like the way my shuffle clamped on to me rather than me needing to buy something else to be able to wear the nano. I've really only used it in the car, and I love the sound and clarity of the music on ipod, and it works wonderfully. I've had it maybe a month and I've only had to restore it once but then I'm older, and technology doesn't come as easily to me as it seems to come to these young things. ^_^
