I'm glad I decided to upgrade to the Gen X iPod at the last minute. It was well worth the extra $30. The camera is one of the best features. I bought it to primarily use in my car, and to eliminate carrying a ton of CD's. The 8mb is more than enough for my use for now. The iPod holds all of my CD's and room left for more music DL's. I figure by the time I need more mb's they'll have the Gen XI. A note of caution...Amazon offers links to accessories at the bottom of the selection page which I think is great, but when I ordered the Gen X iPod, the quick link I added to my cart on their recommendation was for a Gen IV case, which did not fit. The Gen X looks the same, but the control center has moved an 1/8" of an inch. When I called Amazon, they were unaware of this error. Make sure your accessories are for the model device you are buying.Customer Review: This iPOD is the bee's knees!!!

This is the first iPod I've bought for myself, and don't know why I waited so long. I bought this primarily to use in the gym, and so far it's worked out great. I've had no problems with sweat on the headphones even after a couple hours. I opted for the nano so I can have the screen to look at over the shuffle, and chose the nano over the classic because of its smaller size and use of flash memory instead of a moving HDD.
The 8GB storage space is enough for me since I only plan to store music on the iPod. You can take videos and store video content, but on such a small screen I see no benefit to it other than transferring to another source.
In the near future I'll be replacing my CDs in my car with my iPod as soon as I get a new head-unit so I can have my best 600+ songs with me all the time.

shows up in devices, This is my 2nd Nano 5th Generation in one month, I've gone to the apple store, I've been on the phone with Apple for over an hour,
and no one can help, the computer detects the ipod but, Itunes can't make the connection, I have been told they are getting many calls about this, Please help someone, Apple, Whoever,
what now, I have alot of money invested in Itunes and this brand new, 2nd one in a month, does not get Identified by Itunes, I've gone on all the blogs, and other people have reported this but nothing works, What Should I do?

I love my iPod nano. I really like the lightweight and portability of it not to mention the great sound quality! I also like the games it comes with I bought some additional games but didn't play them much so I took them off my iPod. As for iTunes it's not as complicated as everyone thinks. The only thing with me is I have an older computer and iTunes takes awhile to load when you click on it. I like all the great colors it comes in as well. I have the orange and I love it! Another thing I like about the iPod is how easily you can put on pictures and videos. I also really like the iTunes store it is very easy to move around and it has trillions of songs to choose from.
If you want a great media player I would definately choose this one!
