Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Apple iPod nano 4 GB Silver (3rd Generation) OLD MODELCustomer Review: I pod nano ... a winner ! Summary: 5 Stars
First bought this one back in 2007 it was my first mp3 player.
its fantastic! the audio is top notch, love the small portability factor (my friend has a older ipod that thing is like a brick!)
the scrolling wheel cant be beat.. easy access to music and videos.
i also have an ipod touch..which is nice and all but i perfer the size and shape of the nano...
this one is with me all the time...working out, walking, also got an adaptor for it so my tracks can go with me in my car...my friend recently got a zune and he hates it...he returned it and got an ipod after seeing mine.
Before the ipod, i wasnt a apple fan..Im a pc user not a mac fan. but, for music players im a Ipod fan.
bottom line, if you want a great mp3 player thats reasonable priced, easy to download and sync with itunes etc you cant go wrong with the ipod nano. its money well spent! speaking of prices...i got mine at wal mart for 40.00 dollars less than what amazon is charging it pays to do a little searching..
Customer Review: Finally...My Music My Way Summary: 5 Stars
My first MP3 player was a 1GB model that my sister got me for christmas. It worked well but to hear a particular song I had to push forward 'til I found it. And with 200+ songs that could be a chore. With this iPod (my 1st) I can finally find what I want to hear when I want it. THAT was the big selling point of the iPod for me. I know in the future I'll upgrade to a higher GB model, but right now this is good enough for me. With almost 500 songs (hey, I just got the thing last week), I've got my faves at my fingertips (literally). And I have big fingers but have had no problem with the wheel. I like the games available from iTunes and will probably download Tetris in the future and will check out the video stuff, but since my interest is primarily music, that is where I'll be. Syncing is a lot easier than with Windows (although going through 1900 songs can be fun). My only (minor) complaint is that iTunes can't get all the album covers. Any suggestions on that for an iPod newbie? Overall, I'm completely satisfied with my nano. Finally...my music, my way.
Customer Review: iPod Nano 3rd generation Summary: 5 Stars
To me having an mp3 player is essential! I use it while I'm working all the time. I had my first ipod nano for nearly 3 years and when it started not lasting the entire day I decided to upgrade rather than having the battery replaced, since I had beaten and used my first one unbelievably. I love it, I don't really need a video screen although it's neat how the album covers flash through. If I'm going to watch a movie I'll do it on a bigger screen! But I listen to books and music and on my old one I had to keep less on it now I have 5 audio books and my favorite music on it and there's room for more! I like ordering through amazon, the discount on the ipod was nice but when you order through Apple you have to sign for your purchase and I'm not home during the day and so it's really a pain to coordinate someone being here. Through Amazon I got one day deliver through amazon prime for just 3.99 and I didn't have to sign for it. Plus my UPS guy knows I'm not home till the night and often he comes after 5! So I'm extremely pleased with my purchase!
Customer Review: Clear, compact and cute! Suits my granddaughter to a T! Summary: 5 Stars
My son has the 8GB model in black, but I saw this one and thought my granddaughter might like it better ... because it's cuter and more "girly." She's not your typical girly-girl because she's athletic and studious, too, but she does enjoy her music.
When I presented it to her I found that I'd made the right choice! Her eyes lit up ... which always makes the "giver" happy. She loves it, carrying it everywhere she goes ... from the sports field to the mall to college.
She likes the fact she can rock to 24-hours of music, or view two movies back to back when she wants to chill out. Besides all that, it holds up to 7,000 photos and it's clear, compact and cute!
No wonder the Apple iPod nano is the world's most popular music player.
Oh, one more thing: I took another reviewer's advice and purchased a cover ... just in case.
Go for it! I recommend it highly!

Customer Review: Much better than the old one. Summary: 4 Stars
I love this new ipod. I got it about a year ago and i listen to it every day. I love hip-hop and rap music and i have allot so i needed all of the room this has. It stores exellent videos and pictures. Even for a 4 gig it has allot of room. I have a over 1 hour video, music video, and over 400 songs and i still have about a fourth of the room left. The things that i do not care for is the key pad it sticks and the shape of it is not as handy as the new one and the old one. One thing i hate about it is that it freezes quite frequently and then u have to wait untill it runs out to charge it again. I love the new big square screen and u can see the album artwork muc better. U can also veiw the name of the song and the artist on the menu. It has much better games and fun games that u can buy for it. I also love the search menu that allows u to search for any song or artist that is on the ipod. My favorite game is i quiz, it quizes u over ur music, music in general,ur movies and other movies in general. This is a great ipod.
