Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Apple iPod classic 80 GB Silver (6th Generation) OLD MODELCustomer Review: Bought iPod Classic 80G mainly for music Summary: 5 Stars
This is my first iPod and I am really amaged with my first experience with this highly successful & top rated product. I could add my entire 30 GB collection of mp3 music with all mp3 meta info (such as author, album, and art work). The display is very clear and unlike my other mp3 player (30 Gig Creative Zen which dis not display art work), it imported album art images from hard disk folders and displaying with fantastic colors and contrast when playing. Now I have more space, I added my entire collection of family digital photos. As a bonus it allows me to use it's huge remaining space as a storage to keep all my documents and excel sheets. With all these, it still is a thin and beautiful device. I missed this until now and unnecessarily struggled with other mp3 players.
Quite happy...
Customer Review: Great mp3 player Summary: 4 Stars
I just upgraded my 3rd Gen Ipod the "Classic" I was already using iTunes 7.4, so uploading all my music and photos was a breeze. I love being able to use the ipod as a backup for my all my photos. At first I didnt like the split screen menu, but now Im starting to like it. I like how you can preview photos and album covers. A lot of people have complained about the cover flow. Since most of my music is from ripped cds, I dont use it. I downloaded a couple of TV shows and the picture is very crisp. But I couldnt use it to watch a movie...screen still too small. Battery life is huge, and the metal enclosure is very sturdy. I also love the search feature. My only complaint is the click wheel. It seems my 3 year old ipod's wheel is more responsive. Other than that, I love my new ipod!!
Customer Review: 80 Gig-a-Bite Eye-pod Summary: 4 Stars
If you are looking for a convienant way to organize your Music, Movies and Pictures the 80 gigabyte iPod is a must have. It has enough memory to hold all the songs you will need to complete your personal soundtrack as you go through out your day. And during those down times when you need something else to watch rather than your own life, you can select from a variety of movies that you can load and unload from your iPod. And when you are stuck with a stranger and have nothing to talk about, your picture library can help you brag how cool your life is and helps explain how popular you have become. It is slim and small so it can fit in your pocket without a bulge and it is light so it isn't a burden to carry it around. I have had my iPod for a few months now and love it!
Customer Review: WOW! This thing is awesome! Summary: 5 Stars
The iPod Classic has had TOO MANY one star reviews by people who don't even own the iPod or had shipping problems. DON'T listen to those! The click wheel is a little less sensitive than the previous 5th gen iPod video, but is still very usable (the only problem is that iPod cases with click wheel covers won't work). But it is still an amazing product. The cover flow works good and the only doubles I have are albums with more than one artist (which does bug me a little.) I love the split screen effect and all the new interface. If you want a nice MP3 player that's easy to use and has all the bells and whisels, plus can hold your entire music collection and still have over half of the space left... you will like the new iPod Classic! I will update if I have anymore problems.
Customer Review: solid Summary: 4 Stars
I agree that the sensitivity is not as good as previous models but the object works superbly. The battery lasts a long time and the 80gb leaves room for plenty of songs. The interface is a step forward (super user friendly) and even if the album covers don't always apear in real time, it remains a great toy. My critique would go to the quality of sound of the mp3 files rather than the quality of the object (those downloaded from the itunes store should be flawless on this device, but they aren't). The mp3s are often static ridden and low end on the range of sound quality - too bad. When are we going to have the quality of CDs for our toys (needless to mention the quality of vinyl)? That'll be the day ......... !!!!!
