Customer Review: Ipod mini-new and cool

I had previousl owned an old 5 gb 1st gen ipod,so i decided it was time to upgrade to the new ipod mini. So far it works flawlessly, with easy button control and exellent battery life and cool color(gold). However, one small feature that was taken out of ipod-mini(due to its small size) was the "album" display when playing a song. Due to the small lcd, only artist and song are displayed instead. Other than that my only REAL complaint is price. I mean c'mon, with 50 bucks more u can get a SLIGHTLY bigger but premium 15gb ipod. I think the $250 dollar current priced is a major drawback for 4gb mp3 player. I would wait until it goes down to $200.00 ( which it will eventually once the hype is over). After spending hours searching for a mini iPod in stock, I finally located one at a local CompUSA and ran down to purchase it in my favorite color, blue. After owning a 3G 20GB iPod for only about 2 months (after discovering the beauty of the iTunes Music Store), I wasn't really planning on buying the mini. But after seeing them at an Apple Store a few days back, I was in love. The sound quality is the same, amazing, syncing is easy as all things Apple, the design is gorgeous, the screen is beautiful (and I prefer it to the 3G because it's smaller and SHARPER, as well as brighter). 4GB of music is more than enough for me, and the style, quality (build is excellent), ITMS, and Apple name all justify the $250 price tag. Well, there's quite the debate about whether the iPod mini is really 'worth it.' In my opinion, it really is. People complain that its only $50 less than the 15GB iPod, but when I have no use for that much more space, why buy something with more drive? Don't take me wrong, I have tons of music; I just don't feel the need to carry it all with me at all times.Others compare the iPod mini to the Creative muVo2 4GB. Sure, the muVo2 is $50 less, but when you look at the difference in ergonomics, physical design, and firmware features, the iPod mini beats it hands down.
All in all, the iPod mini is a godsend for those of us that don't want a clunky player, but also want something that has a reasonable amount of space, as well as style.
Customer Review: Sounds great, but transfering music to it is painful

I love the size and ergonomics of this little guy, but dealing with transferring music onto the iPod mini from iTunes is a MAJOR pain. Supposedly, you can select the "manual" method of transferring music that you've placed onto the iTunes library from your own CDs or from the iTunes music store, but sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. I've spent several hours over the past few days trying to create folders for "workout music", "soft tunes", etc., on the iPod mini and I can create the playlists, but often can't transfer any music to those playlists. I've sent an email to Apple Support -- their response will determine whether or not I return this unit and buy something easier to use.Customer Review: Love it

It works great. I loaded 800 songs in about 10 minutes & within in another 10 minutes completly understood how to operate each function. I like that you can balance the sound so each song is the same volume. Headphones are decent. Fits in pocket no problem. It would be nice if battery lasted a few more hours but it's adequate. Yeah you can get a 15G for $50 more but a thousand songs is fine for me. Plus you get the clip & USB wire so really the 15G would be about $90 more since the 15G doesn't come with that stuff. Why pay $90 for a bigger device if I don't need it? Well that's my theory. If you need more room get the 15G if don't mind the money & the bigger size. I got the blue one & it's nice.
