Customer Review: beware of the lower cost ones

This is an official apple dock, but the ones that are selling for half price (I got mine via hotdealz, $21) are outdated models that don't include the IR port on the front, which means it will not work with the remote control (which was extra anyway). This model Does have s-video out, which newer models don't have. So if you need the ability to control remotely, and/or s-video out, check with the vendor before you order.
