Customer Review: Not what was advertised, but I did receive my charger...

This product arrived in a bag on my doorstep already scratched. I talked to AccessoryOne customer service and was told that this simply happens when the chargers are being transported from Apple into the envelopes they are shipped in. After my first one arrived scratched, they sent me another one that came in the same condition as the first. I contacted AccessoryOne again about this purchase and received the same story. After asking for a refund of my purchase I was told that I could just keep the product. In the end, I got 2 power adapters for free...which is a shame for AccessoryOne. I would recommend this product with the understanding that it will most likely not be in new condition (at least not with my experience). Might not be good for a gift, but if you need a charger for yourself and don't need it in perfect condition, it will do the job.Customer Review: This is a joke!!!!!!!!!

I was looking for a charger for my Iphone 2G and came upon this and thought I had found an inexpensive charger. I ordered it through Amazon but from a private seller. It arrived on time, but when I put it to use, oh my God! it was clear that there was something terribly wrong with the charger. My Iphone was beeping and showing signs of charging and going off at the same time. When I picked it up to check what the problem was, it was so hot that I thought it was going to burn up. I unplugged it and tried it again the very next day and got the same result. I even tried different sockets around the house to no avail. Whereupon I notified the sellers who offered to replace it with another one but I just wanted out of the deal. I have since learnt my lesson and which is - pay attention to negative reviews, they are always right 60% of the times.Customer Review: A1 Accessories sells fake products

I bought this product not knowing what to expect. I bought it from A1 Accessories because they had thousands of orders with 4.5 stars. I figured they would sell the real deal. Well, when the charger arrived at my house, the wall prongs were falling out of the housing. I read the shipping invoice and they don't allow returns. So I'm stuck with it. I tried plugging it in, and although it does charge my iPod Touch, when you pull the adapter out of the outlet, the prongs stay behind. I'm concerned that it's a fire hazard as well, some of the wires don't look fully soldered.
If you're looking for a iPod charger, and don't really care what it looks like, I'd recommend: Belkin Mini Surge Protector Dual USB Charger

It should have been a home run. The packaging was first rate. The fold up prongs were great for carrying around in a pocket. While not as small as the adapter that came with the iPhone it still had a small footprint and actually looked better to my eye.
Then I plugged it in and connected it to the phone and waited for it to charge up. And waited and waited some more. After 3 hours only a 50% increase in battery capacity. What a tremendous letdown. Used the same cable to plug the phone into my laptop to complete the charge before going home. Tried it again the next day and again found it charged very slowly.
So instead of a homer it was a pop fly and an unfortunate out for the iPhone. I am hoping to find a use for it in the future for another USB device that only needs a trickle charge.

The company shipped the item to me promptly, however, they shipped what looked like a used adapter. I ordered a new old. The item had dirt on it and looked like it has been chewed on. On the description, the item was supposed to have retractable prongs and a green dot. It has neither. I contacted the company informing them that I was returning the product. I also did not want to pay for return shipping--since the whole situation was their fault. The good news is, while there were problems with the product, customer service at this company is outstanding (prompt and sensitive). They gave me a full refund. I am pleased.
The company gets one star (*) for wasting my time and money with a misrepresented (or wrong), damaged product; but two additional stars for quality customer service.
