Customer Review: Be careful who you order from!

I ordered from Mac_Pro_Online and did not get the USB cable. It wasn't even a genuine Apple. I returned it for a refund (still waiting) and ordered the real thing directly from Apple. The genuine Apple charger is an updated model, so I can't comment on this one. Just be careful if you don't order from Amazon because outside sellers think it's okay to sell something other than what's described just by putting a "comment" (which can't even be seen if you order from the featured seller).Customer Review: I Pod USB Power Adapter

The positive news is that the products works and does exactly what Apple promises that it will do.
Now for the bad new, for the same price or less you can buy after market products from other companies that have many more features. For example I saw units at our local box store that had mobile chargers in addition to AC charges for the same price as the Apple unit which only gives you an AC charger. I would have to label this product as overpriced and a poor value!

I have an iPod Shuffle and this charger works like a dream, it's great not to be tied to my computer.
It's fast, compact, light weight, and does exactly what it's supposed to.
I do wish Apple would include it with the Shuffle or its other iPods, however the nice thing about it is when I upgrade it will work with the new iPod.
True you can find much cheaper chargers but I'd rather spend the extra money for piece of mind, I don't want my Shuffle fried.

I didn't get aroung to opening this for a month... when I did, I realized it needed a USB cable which was NOT included even though the box said it was. Since I opened it beyond the return date, I'm stuck with it. To make matters worse, I bought this to replace one I already had (plug was breaking) so I tried to use the old cable which turns out to be firewire.
When I reviewed the product description NO WHERE does it mention USB or Firewire. Very unhappy.

Yes Apple is making money off this by having it be $30 but i have bought the other chargers and used them for testing at my college. I find out that the others are cheaper but you get what you paid for....cheap nockoffs that will fail to function in about 3 months on average.This charger hasnt failed yet and its been a year but the worst alternative charger is the one by Sonnet...do not buy this piece of junk! Just spend the extra $10 it is worth it trust me!
