Like so many other reviews that I have read about this - I believe that this item should be included with the iPod when it is purchased. The device works fine and I like the style; the folding progs make it easier to carry - but I didn't like to have to pay an additional $30 for something that is not an "accesory" - it is a "necessity"Customer Review: Indispensable for IPOD, shuffle users

We use this puppy all the time - 5 people in the house, 4 shuffles, 1 IPOD. Recharges them all very quickly.
Had trouble with the first one I bought. But, Apple's customer service came through and replaced the charger in 24 hours.
Wish all companies modeled their customer service after Apple's.

I finally broke down and got the USB Power Adapter for my Video iPod, I had gotten to the point I was tired of having to plug into the computer and I can now easily take the iPod traveling with me and charge in hotel rooms, etc. Simple, easy to use and doesn't take up much space. This is a must for any high power iPod users.Customer Review: Price gouging!

Altough most people will be able to charge their iPods through USB, some people may not have USB ports, or they're only 500mA, or they simply want to charge from the wall. Its only a transformer used to step down your wall outlet (110-125V, 1.5A) to USB2 (5V, someA, so its seems grossly overpriced in typical apple fashion.Customer Review: Does what it's supposed to do!

Apple designs excellent accessories for it's products. This a/c adaptor does a great job of charging iPods. The only problem is spending $30 for something that realistically should cost about $15. But, then, Amazon sellis it for $30 and Best Buy and Target sell it for $40! So, comparitively, this is a bargain!
