Not having to use the pc to charge up my I pod mini is fantastic! It charges it much faster. Packed it on my vacation but wound up not having to use it. The charge held more than one week and I used it a lot! It's quite compact, just tuck in those little prongs and off you go! Oh yeah, you do have to remember to bring the USB cable, it would be kinda useless without it.Customer Review: IPOD AC/DC Charger/Adaptor

Functionally, this works fine. Compact design, AC plug folds in for a smooth case, easy to pack, hard to damage, and since there is no cord associated with the input to the AC outlet, there is one less thing to lose or damage. There is a USB cord from the unit to the IPOD, but that is it. A little more expensive, since it has an Apple logo associated with it, but it works.Customer Review: Overpriced - do some research!

Don't waste $30 on this adapter. You can get an aftermarket one on Amazon for under $10! Just search by "USB Power Adapter." Apple is famous for this - selling add ons that are triple the price of something you can get elsewhere. They used to be able to do this before Ipod's became so popular and companies started making copies of their docks, chargers, cases, etc....Customer Review: Lame

The reason I am giving this unit a 3 star is the fact that i still need the usb cable supplied with the ipod unit to charge it.
By ordering an upod charger, i expected it came with its own cable usb to ipod plug. However, this unit comes with only the adapter without a cable.
Apple are squeezing their customers for money in return for minimal accessories.

This item is the best you could need. Kids dont tend to have their own computers, therefore they need a way to charge it, this way you can just do it in your room. Not to mention that it works with almost any Mp3 or IPOD that has to charge through a USB port. We travel alot, and this has helped car and plane rides. i highly suggest this item if you have an ipod
