Customer Review: Terrible for long runs

I'm a marathon runner, and I bought the Nike+ iPod pedometer to help keep track of distance. The design of this product when worn places the iPod and sensor against your skin, with easy access for sweat and condensation to make their way inside (and once the water is in, it's in for the rest of the run.
Today was the last straw - I'd noticed the condensation forming before, but ignored it. Today it built up to the point that it shorted out the sensor, interrupting a long run. The sensor didn't start working again until I got home and dried everything out, but that's the thing - the armband should be designed so that doesn't happen.
I'm getting rid of this armband and trying one that is a bit more water-resistant.
Customer Review: A Great Alternative to Nike+ Armband

If you have issues or concerns with sweating with the Nike+ armband systems then consider the iFrogz ibagz as an alternative. It is water resistant, easy to operate, and your ipod remains completely dry.
The only con is that it must be manipulated for comfort. I simply tighten the lanyard around my arm and then place the Nike+ Armband over the bag once I've started running to keep it in place. Don't mess with the controls to often so lack of access is not an issue.
Average run is 7-10 miles and have no problems with the iBagz.Large Water Resistant Ibagz..

Well, this product does what it needs to do. It holds the iPod in place and also fits the receiver for the nike + iPod attachment. After about two weeks of use I have run into two problems
1) The plastic window fogs up which makes me worry about moisture in my iPod
2) The click wheel is very difficult to use - it is very frustrating navigating the menu. You either end up pressing a button or the selection jumps all over the place
A simple solution I found was to cut a circle out around the click wheel making it easier to use and also providing some ventilation. for the price though, this shouldn't be necessary.

I have the 3G nano, and purchased several armbands for the 3g. This is by far the most comfortable and best looking armband for the 3g Nano that I have tried. Its very durable, and fits well while running. Washed it twice so far in the washing machine and let air dry and still looks and feels like new. You cant get a better armband that Nike models, had the older armband for the 2g nano and they never fail to impress! Good job Nike!!!!Customer Review: DO NOT BUY THIS!!!

I can't believe Nike put their logo on this piece of crap. I have only run with it 10 times and it is falling apart. When I sweat the screen of my ipod literally steams up. The plugs at the bottom of the ipod are literally exposed and sweat soaks right up into adapter parts. Why didn't they just create a larger version of the previous nano armband which worked perfectly and was machine washable.
